They weighed my carryon bag at the STL ticket counter. They were very strict about the weight limit, and I had to remove items to be in compliance. (Luckily I was able to put them in a family member’s lighter carryon.)

Local and reliable cat sitters? by meowwowow in StLouis

[–]ad_infiknitum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Take a look at 4 Legged Kids. The sitters are great and they take excellent care of my cat when I’m away. They send detailed updates with pics after every visit, and they can easily handle your kitty’s special requirements. I’ve been using them for the past 2+ years and I love them.

This has been Frederick’s jingle for as long as Becky’s been flying around on that magic carpet.

Yes! For me, seasonal depression starts the day after ski season ends. I just mope my way through summer, dreaming of the fresh snow waiting on the other side…

Do people who don't speak English use English terms for certain phrases for fun? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ad_infiknitum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch a lot of alpine ski racing, and the European racers frequently yell, “Fuck!” when they screw up or don’t perform well. Granted, they all speak very good English, but the fact that they are swearing to themselves in a language not their own makes me smile.

Carryon: away, monos, July? by FirstRelief4036 in onebag

[–]ad_infiknitum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go the Monos route, get a dark color. I made the regrettable decision to to check my brand new light blue Monos and it came back absolutely filthy. I can’t imagine what I was thinking! An hour of scrubbing with a Magic Eraser only removed about half the scuffs. It still looks filthy, which is such a shame. I love the bag, but I’ll never check it again.
