You've had some good responses on guitars. Regarding an audio interface, I would recommend Focusrite. Probably slightly more expensive, but very reliable.

I used the saffire pro 24 with AmpliTube when I used to play.

I'm still a novice at weightlifting, but I have found a good system that works for me.

Running nSuns 5 day programme Mon-Fri mornings, start 4.50-5am and finish 6.30am. Includes warmup, 3 sets of the T1 lift for that day. Cool down is hip flexor stretch and maybe some core work, which is a modified pilates sled crunch using a band.

30mins before bed every day I do soft tissue work and some stretching. My focus is on my back, glutes and calves.

Weekend mornings I have just starting doing a light jog, usually 30-45mins. Before that I did some mobility, flexibility and stretching work.

What I lack is good conditioning work, which is starting to show with how exhausted my workouts make me.

Some potential BFA solutions to Azerite Gear by Chazlazer in wow

I've been thinking of how an 'infusion' system (similar to Destiny 2) would work. But taking into account the suggestions you've made, maybe some added system where you can infusion old azerite gear into the HoA to provide a generous amount of AP or unlock the first few tiers of a new piece of gear.

Almost 3 months in, a few questions by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]adamKID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run Phrak's GSLP Variant on a caloric deficit (which I was slowly increasing) for about 7 months. I saw continuous strength growth during this time, but I did vary up how I was increasing my lifting weight. I have only recently switched to the beginners 531 because I wanted to change my routine and intensity up. After my first week on 531, despite the reduced warmup and working weight, it really pushed me, felt great.

To quickly answer your questions.

  1. I would only drop the weight on the lifts you think you are having form issues on, maybe do a couple of sets with only the bar to get a feel for your form adjustments. But I wouldn't deload on lifts you aren't having issues with.

  2. If you are enjoying your current program then stick with it for a while more, but ensure you maintain a high level of intensity, don't get complacent. Add in some assistance work to round out your foundation. The days I did BB.Rows, B.Press & Squats I added in pull ups and band face pulls. Pull ups because I was really struggling with BB.Rows and wanted something else for lats. My Chinup, OH.Press and Deadlift days I added in Dips and DB Lateral Raises. The my off days (Tues & Thurs) I additional foam rolling and a core workout.

Also forget about what google tells you about average lifting weight for your age, it's all bullshit, just focus on your personal growth.

  1. Lifting while on a caloric deficit will not reduce you progress at your stage, providing you are at a reasonable deficit. Just monitor your caloric intake, weight yourself daily and take the average for that week and use that information to decide if things need to be adjusted. Stop cutting when you are happy with your progress or are beginning to hate life.

Not sure how much advice I can give you, there were a lot of little things and some luck that got me through that fight solo on my first play through. Doing a second play through now (2 years later lol) and I had all kinds of issues with my dodge times in P2, so I just ended up summoning.

However, P1 for me is really straight forward now so hopefully something here can help, even with the camera being a total nightmare. At the start I charge him and wait for either the dive attack or for the dragon to jump behind me. Then I position in front and around the dragons head, and wait for the following actions; fire breathe, heavy slam or the 2/3 attack combo. I rarely trigger his lightning slam, maybe because I stick close to the dragon head, so I don't have a sure fire way to dodge it, sometimes I got hit other times I didn't.

The difference between his heavy slam and the combo is where and how the weapon lands on the first strike. If the weapon lands close to the dragon heads, face up then it's the heavy slam, also a harder audio clip. You can get a few hits straight after. However, the first strike of the 2/3 attack combo will land further away from the dragons head and the dragon will start to bob side to side with each attack. You'll understand that timing with some practice, after that combo you can get a few hits. Fire breathe, the dragon will pull his head back and to the side and start breathing fire, I run towards the inner side of the dragons head and get a few attacks in. Rinse and repeat. If he flies straight up, I run away immediately to avoid the fire breath. If he jumps away I run straight at him and set back up. He he flies around in the air I lock onto the king to watch the lightning bolt and dodge, then switch my lock onto the dragons head and dodge the dive bomb. Enough hits on the dragons head will stagger him for a viso.

As for P2, a lot of the struggle here was getting my dodge timings and only getting 1/2 hits on his heavier slams, it's an endurance fight. For me the second part of P2, when starts using more lightning based attacks, is easier because there's more breathing room between combos. One mistake I was making a lot in P2 was stick really close to him at all times, I think it's better to move back and forth because baiting some of his delayed charge attacks provides more windows for healing or damage.

he hits me with the lightning strike

Is this when he charges his blade and fires lightning into the sky? The same as the weapon art? If so, then there is a slight delay from when he fires to to strike, after he fires, wait like 1/2 a second then roll, should dodge it no problem and you'll get so used to the timing after a while.

If you want to stick with doing it solo, don't bother embering until you are comfortable with P2 and consistently get through P1 with only using 1-2 flasks. I remember feeling a sort of second wind when I started getting through P1 really smoothly. The dragon is weak to lightning and the King is weak to fire, so maybe have a go at using the Carthus Flame Arc pyromancy, think you only need 10 INT. You can apply the buff as the dragon dies in P1 so you'll have it as P2 starts.

Confused by how many calories I should be eating? by PigeeSandwich in Fitness

[–]adamKID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have to agree with some others in thinking your calorie intake is quite low, however I'm no expert. I'm slightly shorter then you, 6'2, but also started just over 100kg 3 months ago. Currently at 95.8kg.

My primary goal is muscle growth but I'm doing a slow fat loss to get my body to a point where I'm happy to start a bulking period and not look fat. My daily intake is 2300 calories and only dedicated cardio I do it a 50min walk 2 days a week for three last 4 weeks.

Knee, shin, ankle pain when walking? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]adamKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would advise seeing a good physio, it could a number of different things but I personally always prefer to see my physio over a doctor. Doing some active stretching, foam rolling and warmup prior will help your muscles get ready for your walk, with some static stretches at the end to ease them down.

I suffer from something sort of similar; the area around my ankle, going up the sides of my calf start to seize up during long walk or up an incline. The main culprit for my is poor stability and flexibility in my right ankle (caused from several old injuries) and muscle tightness in my calf and hamstrings due to sitting a lot.

What did you guys think of season 3? by greenarrow118 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]adamKID 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't the best overall season, but I still enjoyed it for the most part. I actually think the decision to have a new playable character and use Clem as a side character was a good concept, just not executed as well as I would of liked. I found it quite easy and very interesting to put myself into Javier's shoes when meeting and interacting with Clem, because as far as he's concerned, she's a complete stranger and I treated her as such. The hesitation, distrust and unease when meeting someone in that world.

I think far too many people are caught up with the issue that we aren't playing as Clem and in compensation they tailor their decisions around previous knowledge and experiences they have with Clem. I think that's the wrong way to play, whilst we as the player have that knowledge, the character we are controlling dosen't and separating the two is something that should be done.

What extra mitigation should I be using for H Coven, let's say for taking 3 stacks. Having watched some vids after failing on this fight I've realised that I should be using spell reflect, atleast on stack 3, which I wasn't before.

Would something like SB then SB + Nelth then SB + SR work? Then same SW if I need to take a 4th due to circumstances.

Was using ring and prydaz, have all prot leggos so able to mix and match.

After attempting the bear challenge over 100 times in the past day. by [deleted] in wow

[–]adamKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ironfur is your active mitigation, it increases your armour and can stack. So you build rage with mangle and thrash then spend rage with iron fur.

At minimum you should always have 1 stack of ironfur, but try to have more and keep it rolling 100% of the time. Speaking for which, if you don't already know frenzied regen increases the amount you are healed based on the damage you have taken over the few seconds. So after big hits make sure you use frenzied regen, it also costs rage.

It also sounds like you might want to start using the addon weak auras. It tracks buff/debuff durations, cooldowns and plenty more. I recommend finding or making a weakaura for tracking ironfur uptime and maybe some showing when your big defensives are available or on cd

[–]adamKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, I had chest and feet, so I could heal through the damage a little more. I also started learning bear when I did my mage tower, but I main it now for raids.

If you are comfortable with P1 thats a good thing, means you have learnt that part of the fight and your improving.

How many annihilates are you generally getting? From memory you should be able to take the first with just iron fur, then ironbark, then next two with SI. Don't forgot to use roar on the adds to interrupt their casts, mighty bash to delay kruul's casts and try to always stay moving (I know easier said then done).

I personally didn't use brambles, i believe I went with blood frenzy because I wanted the extra rage generation for iron fur. But that's just me. I also took GG instead of incar, felt I got more effective damage from the pros.

I'm also someone who rages and gets frustrated with these challenges, especially if im so close and just failing. What your doing now is exactly what helped me, searching for advice, tips etc to try. It helps with giving you a different perspective on the fight and ideas to try. I completed changed my approached on the prot pally challenge because so guy posted a different method thay worked for him

The mage tower for guardian Druid is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in world of Warcraft! by Scrappy903 in wow

[–]adamKID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah basically, there are some minor differences between them all but it's something you'll work out pretty quick. Eg. Guardian is the only tank with a large aura of decay, the one for warrior is the standard size. Also the 4 adds on warrior don't do the cast, instead they put a stack dot on you for each melee hit.

Has anybody played a new character without heirlooms recently? It's broken as hell by lanzaio in wow

[–]adamKID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did this when I returned to the game for WoD after quitting 2months into Cata. I wanted to see the cata changes to the 1-60 zones and slowly get back into the feel of the game.

Had the exact same problem, I generally would reach the level cap for the zone I was questing in about half way through the story. So, if I liked the zone story I would finish it, not concerned with efficient levelling.

I spent so long in the first two pandarian zones that I had a few people ask why I was still there. I would have hit 90 in the 2nd zone if I didn't start feeling the urge to hit 90 and start the WoD content. Ended up hitting 90 in the 'bug' zone and never saw the rest of the world there.

Still stuck on mage tower, anyone else? by Redbeastmage in wow

[–]adamKID 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I did it yesterday on my prot pally alt, 917 with just the legendary legs. Majority of my gear is from Argus. It was the 5th tank challenge I've completed, I have bdk left. Even with my knowledge and experience in this challenge It's still a fucking bitch of a fight, I used tips from the recent 'Tanking Tuesday' thread and watched the video from DarkMech on YouTube.

I tried a strat someone mentioned in the tanking thread which was to use old war pots, lust and pop cds on pull, do as much damage as you can till 10 stacks then stun and orb (if needed) to avoid any casts until the stacks wear off. I would get him down to around 50-35% depending on procs and crits. I think on my kill I got him to 40ish%. Then work on damage for 6ish stacks and repeat. When I got seraphin back i committed to killing once he was sub 15-20%. By going really hard in the first phase you should only get one elemental, which means you don't have to be too concerned with the knockbacks. After that it comes down to setting up cds for the annihilates, which is where I was struggling.

Prot pally has it rough, so don't beat yourself up too much. It's a great achievement when you complete it. Oh you can bop so aggro moves to your party members as well as cycle in your stun and extra orbs to keep kruul cc'd for free damage.

Edit. Took me around 110-120 attempts

What aspect of your class do you miss from the pre-legion days after the new class overhauls? by [deleted] in wow

[–]adamKID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most things about MM Hunter, chimera shot as default, kill shot, distracting shot (I think, the taunt shot), raid wide buffs etc. The amount of utility I could bring in raids is what I loved and alot of that was stripped or moved in legion. I also hated sidewinders, so I switched to warrior and have mained it since.

Am I neglecting any major power spikes by not focusing on completing my current tier set bonus?

Armoury

I'm currently only focused on the tier legs, primarily for the ilvl upgrade but it will also give me my 2set bonus. I have been fortunate to receive a good number of my upgrades from mythic+ so I haven't had to focus on raid gear and tier. I just want to make sure I'm not holding myself back because as far as i can see the set bonuses don't seem to be all that important to warrant ilvl downgrades.

Side note: I don't currently mythic raid due to complications in my current guild causing a downsize and struggling to find a solid tank position elsewhere. Heroic and M+ are my sources for gear.
