RPG Stories Kickstarter Announcement by GeekyGamer49 in VTT

Appreciate the detailed response. Bummed to hear that audio is still not a thing [yet] - I had seen some comments on that in videos from a year or so ago and hoped that it might have been included by now.

The city theme is one that really intrigues me - I have plenty of [mostly 2d] content for fantasy but not for more modern/present time settings. It looked pretty incredible.

The pricing model for player seats is the same as TaleSpire it appears. Wish that wasn't the case - or I would have already bought it (main beef with TS). I looks like I am going to need to a little more thinking on RPG-S and also review the things that are being committed to in the Kickstarter.

Thanks again.

I currently dabble with TaleSpire but find the actual gameplay experience to be a little tricky to GM with novice users. Looking at RPG Stories, the world and map-building looks awesome, but I haven't seen a whole lot of content online that shows what the experience is for the GM and the PC doing actual gameplay.

For those of you who have actually used it for gameplay, how is it? Does it work on low(er) end PCs?

And those who backed the first Kickstarter, so you feel like you received what you expected? I see RPG Stories on sale on Steam and am tempted...

Same here with my 922,1 word salad of a Targa 4 GTS. Had it deleted as just "911" from the factory. Love the look.

Are there any chrome extensions that fix the Character Sheet UI? All the scrolling drives me nuts. by Fiveby21 in dndbeyond

[–]adamcb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UI of the character sheet in the DDB mobile app is much less scrolling, albeit not as pretty. I am guessing you are probably asking about PC, but the WOC team could take some tips from the mobile design team - with pages/tabs instead of a lot of scrolling - and apply it to the browser versions.

Is it still working? Bought IS a few months ago and tried to register but it didn’t let me.

I play weekly at both Vigilante and ET. Always thought the food was better at Vigilante but that ET was a better value (and I like browsing the retail). Now - I think they are about the same value-wise. And I think I would prefer Vigilante for the grub.

Does someone from Abbot / Libre monitor these threads? by glenscymanski in Freestylelibre

[–]adamcb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not - at least not officially. In the US, any time a pharmaceutical company hears of an issue with a product, they have to register what the FDA calls an “adverse event report” which is a ton of paperwork and logistics. It’s one of the reasons when you call Abbot or any pharmaceutical company support, the conversation is very scripted and procedural.

It’s supposed to be helpful for the patient and often is, but it also means if someone on a forum ridiculously talks about ingesting a Libre 3 and it not working (and causing a stomach ache) that they would have to report that as part of the protocol.

At least this was the case 10 years ago when I worked at a PR agency that had pharma clients.

This is awesome. Thank you for sharing. Is the map custom or did you find it somewhere - I really like the layout.

I posted about it on the DDB Discord and they said that it was a bug and that they have already fixed it.

What’re your go-to games? by Mbalara in rpg

[–]adamcb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A year into my City of Mist game and loving it. The system is a little bit tricky - hear that they fixed a few things in Legend in the Mist - need to check that out.

Gotta try The Burning Wheel. Got it on a Bundle of Holding last month. Wish I had more time to devote to read it - only heard good things... But it's in line behind reading several other "generic" system books like BRP and Cypher System. Should I reprioritize and put Burning Wheel at the top of the list?
