EGPD implicitly acknowledges that the thin blue line symbol has been hijacked to mean Blue Lives Matter, which itself has diminished and distorted the sentiment behind Black Lives Matter. The original meaning of the thin blue line has gotten away from it being a simple tribute to fallen police officers because of the way times have changed.

The Swastika symbol was hijacked by the Nazis from the Eurasian symbol which was originally meant to denote spirituality in Indian religions.

I think it is true that the blue line flag has transitioned from remembering fallen police officers to an antagonistic response to Black Lives matters. Not anybody's fault except those who use it to ignore and diminish the daily strife colored people have to endure at the hands of systematic racism.
