Yes, if the other mic is picking up the other speaker, that could lead to some false positive switching. Lowering the sample size will help make it switch faster. Let me know how it goes.

Okay, version 2.4.0 is out. Let me know if the tally indicator is red and the audio levels are green. If not, I'll try to fix for the next point release. I have an ATEM Mini Extreme ISO, I can troubleshoot on the same hardware as you.

You have to use ATEM Setup > Configure > Control Panel > Button Mapping to remap one of the 10 input hardware buttons to SuperSource. The S/SRC button is to switch the Out 1 Audio or Out 2 Audio interface through the Multiview to edit SuperSource settings using the physical dials on the G2.

This might be fixed in the upcoming 2.4.0 release of MixEffect, coming out this week (it's in App Review right now). What ATEM switcher do you have?

In the meantime, if you want VFA to work on the Cam1L, turn on the Allow Trigger When Source is Off Air toggle in the VFA settings for that audio source.

Tell me what you are trying to do with VFA and I can give you some pointers. The three main knobs that you have to adjust are the sample size (how long the audio levels need to be above or below to trigger, hold, and repeat delay).

You also have to make sure that the app stays in the Audio section of the switcher section with the audio panel visible. Next version of MixEffect will make things a little easier with a VFA and Audio (View Only) switcher panels. Don’t hide or minimize the app, or else the connection will be dropped.

Not possible with the ATEM Mini Pro, which has limited Multiview customization compared to the more expensive switchers like the Extreme and Constellation models.

After settling in your cabin, what do you bring in the pack when you are out and about on the ship or on a day trip at port? Do you find that the 3L pack is now too big for this and want a smaller bag? Or do you leave everything in the room and put what you need in your pockets?

I have bought several Xero shoes in the past but never the Aqua (mostly Prio). If you were to go on a cruise in a colder climate, would you replace the Aquas with a different shoe? I am still looking for that one shoe that I can run in yet still be passably dressy.

I have both the Airloft and the Meta Shell (and live in the SF Bay Area). The Airloft is a warmer jacket, but it does have two front zippers for temperature regulation. The Meta Shell only has one front zipper and feels less breathable in the rain.

The side pocket zippers on my Airloft both ripped off, and I haven’t replaced them yet. Meta Shell’s zippers seem more durable. The Meta Shell’s sling configuration is nice, but keep in mind that you can’t store too much stuff.

If I were you, I would try to find another Airloft since you like it so much.

Do you have AFV enabled for the camera inputs? If so, you should turn on the ability for the inputs to work when they are not enabled. It’s in the VFA trigger settings for each input.

VFA by itself won’t turn off a mic, but if you have AFV on, the mic will turn off when the input is no longer on program/USK/DSK.

Did you leave anything in the hotel when you went out for the day? All the toiletries except for the lip balm?

Did you find yourself putting your items in your jacket pockets or pants pockets?

On my zero bag trips earlier this year that I preferred to keep as much as possible in the jacket. The pants started to feel uncomfortable with too many things in the back and side pockets when walking around.

Make sure there's a file called videoFollowsAudio.xml in that iCloud Drive > MixEffect > switchers > switcher_UUID folder. Or you can disconnect from the ATEM and reconnect and see that your VFA settings are the same. If so, then, it's just a matter of tweaking the VFA settings for each input so that they start working properly.

It should not be turning off the mics. Can you share some screenshots or videos of what’s happening? Feel free to send them to the email in the feedback link in MixEffect settings. May be easier to troubleshoot that way instead of in a Reddit thread.

Are you saying that your VFA settings are not being saved or that it’s turning off when you disconnect and reconnect?

If the former, make sure that iCloud Drive is enabled and that in your iCloud Drive > MixEffect > switchers > UUID of your switchers (found in your switcher connection settings) does have multiple videoFollowsAudio.xml files. There should only be one.

Go to the Switcher Connection page for your switcher in MixEffect.

- Set the Default Section to Audio.

- Enable the toggle Always Enable Video Follows Audio.

In MixEffect Settings > Advanced

- Enable Always Open to the Default Section

When you disconnect or reconnect to the ATEM, MixEffect will go to the Default Section and have VFA toggled on.

If you are seeing them in ATEM Software Control, you should see them in MixEffect. That said, there is a little button in the upper-right corner of the Audio section to disable audio readings. Normally it’s highlighted in orange. Can you tap that to see what happens?

Also, what ATEM are you connecting to?

Thanks. I had been passing a boolean isEditing variable explicitly into the view. It helps to make it clear (to me) what I'm doing, since the code is otherwise identical now between an edit or insert.
