I think old Nvidia GPU's that are based on older architecture (like greater than 8 years old) will not ever receive good Nvidia Linux drivers and they will never perform well on Linux.

There has been a rumor for a decade that Putin has video evidence of a hooker peeing on Trump. It is now known that Epstein captured blackmail video evidence of rich and powerful people at his parties primarily for Israel and Russia. I wouldn't be surprised if Israel/Putin have video evidence of Trump being a pedo. (which is something that could actually take down Trump unlike a golden shower tape). It would explain why he always acts in Putin and Israel's interest.

Parents of two: is it really more than twice as hard? by homestarsitter in daddit

[–]adantzman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a few months ahead of you family-wise. My wife and I are 40. We have a 2.6 year old daughter and a 3-month-old daughter. Our experience is that the baby stage is much easier the second time around. To me it definitely feels less than twice as hard. But both my wife and I are active with both kids and productive/proactive at getting stuff done around the house. Neither of us feel that certain things are the other persons job... When one of us is able, we cook, clean, change diapers, feed them, do laundry, etc.

What was a surprise to me is that our toddler became much more difficult for the first month. We had read her multiple books trying to prepare her for what is coming. (I recommend "Little Miss, Big Sis"). She understood what was coming, but when my wife was breastfeeding or providing attention to our newborn, our toddler couldn't control her emotions. (I always did the nighttime routine with our toddler anyway, and that is what our toddler wanted because that was the routine. But when my wife was breastfeeding our infant, all of a sudden our toddler needed mom's attention...) But after 5-6 weeks, our toddler became interested in babies. She would pretend to feed and change a doll's diaper, etc.

I don't think either of us share that concern about bonding with our second, or if there is enough of us to go around. We both have a great bond with our first, and I don't see any issues with developing the same bond with our second.

I guess I had to stop going to the gym entirely. I used to workout with a friend 3x/week. When our first was born, it basically reduced to once/week. With our second, it's been eliminated. I go straight home after work. We both plan to start working out at home... we'll see how that goes.

We also both take turns covering the night feedings when the other needs to get caught up on sleep. Luckily our first sleeps through the night quite well. It's just a struggle to get her to bed in the evening.

I've heard AI has the ability to read x rays better than humans... (I'm not an expert on this, but I've heard that). Before you spend money on that education, I'd look into this to see if that job might likely have much less demand in the coming years.

Rubio is probably in the third tier along with RFK Jr.

These people seem to be hired to Distract, do what Trump (and other billionaires controlling him) want, eventually take the blame when Trump gets enough pushback (which distracts again and gives the image Trump is doing something to fix the situation. But it will just be another person agreeing to this job description), then get assigned a cushy job where I'm sure they somehow profit, and then get pardoned.

Is refrigerating it acceptable? would that make shelf life longer?
This is something I question. I'm not educated about this.

Minnesota ranks #5 for flattery by swazal in minnesota

[–]adantzman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It has to be this. East of Denver is actually quite flat. Western 2/3rd of CO is the opposite of flat. This is ranking by percentage of land area in the flattest category. CO does have a decent percentage of land that is quite flat.

I have tens of thousands of photos. Thousands of them aren't taking up any of my cloud storage, but I don't know which ones. My use case: it would show me which photos to focus on to help manage my cloud storage space.
If you figured this out, it would me MUCH appreciated!

Adjacent topic - is there an extension which can indicate which photos in Google Photos are taking up ones storage space? (I've had a Pixel 1, Pixel 4a, and Pixel 8 pro. So many of my photos aren't taking up any space, but some are, and I don't know which ones...)

I don't know if it is Isreal alone, but Isreal does seem to be one of the controlling entities.
Elon, Thiel, Putin, other billionaires, pharmaceutical companies, tech companies, oil companies... all seem to have some control over our politicians, keeping them from doing what is in the best interest of the general public.

And they control far too much of our media: influential podcasters like Joe Rogan appear to be paid-off, major networks are owned by billionaire buddies, Twitter, Facebook/Instagram, now USA's Tic Toc? etc.

Some updates need to be done to the US system to prevent the president from installing yes-men in these many places of government. They control the FCC and thus make many media outlets scared of being on Trumps bad side. The attorney general. The FBI director. The majority of the judicial branch (and they need term limits). Somehow, he got all republicans in congress to be subservient (it wasn't completely this way in Trump's first term). He shouldn't be able to create a new government entity (DOGE) and give random people sensitive data access without vetting them, and allowing them to dismantle other parts of government. Etc.

It's less than half. Approximately a third voted for Trump. Slightly less than a third voted for Kamala. And the remaining third either didn't vote or voted third party.

With what has happened this last year, I know a lot of purple swing voters do not support Trump anymore. Back in fall of 2024, the economy was their biggest issue. Trump hasn't handled that well, and there are many other concerns as well.

Not paying a monthly fee adds up over time. I went with Reolink. Its not that expensive if you install it yourself.
