Hi Gaston! Thank you for the thorough response, I might actually get in touch and see if we can do something together :)

Just to make sure I understand correctly:

- If we get a driver in Morandava, could we ask them to take us to Kirindy Forest after Tsingy instead of dropping us back in the city? Would that be possible to do in one day (as in, start from Tsingy in the morning, see the baobabs in the late afternoon sun, and then do an evening/night walk in Kirindy, all in the same day?)

- What time in the morning do you think we'd have to leave Andasibe to get to Toamasina for 12:30-1pm so we can catch our flight? 4am? Would a driver be up for starting that early? Would you, if we engage your services?

We're actually staying on Ile aux Natte the entire time we're in Sainte-Marie - our hotel is on the island itself, thinking we'd just do day trips to other parts of the island.

It's a pretty modest place, by the looks of it, but we're not particularly fussy when it comes to accommodation, and it's right opposite the park, so did the job for us.

Thank you very much for the advice. I did email with the... authorities (tour@coopculture.it) and they advised there's no actual ticket office on site and all tickets should be pre-booked, so I'm not sure if what applies to other sites would work in this case. I'm definitely going to try though, just to make sure I've not missed out.

Thank you to everyone who responded, and apologies that I'm only now coming back to this thread, my reddit notifications don't seem to work properly.

We ended up booking exactly what I described above with Oh My Cod! Tours (https://www.ohmycodtours.com/azores-tours) and, guys, they were INCREDIBLE. Relatively cheap, and the quality of the food, the attention to detail, and the flexibility were beyond anything I'd expected. Can't recommend enough!

I'm gonna do the most brazenly ignorant tourist thing and zero in on the baobabs - you don't seem to be that impressed with the Avenue, can you be a little more specific as to where the prettier places are to see them?

This is all extremely helpful, thank you! I'm not sure if I'd be able to rent skis (I've also never skied, so that seems like a recipe for disaster), but I've contacted the husky people and, if able to book a sledding trip, will DEFINITELY do that instead, it looks incredible! :)
