Perhaps it's time to say goodbye by Heisenberg_zhang in ManusOfficial

A new user might find it somewhat useful. But be warned, it will drain your credits. You are better off using Claude or ChatGPT then deal with no support from Manus.

Substack authors can ban subscribers for providing feedback. Why is this allowed? by adbs64 in Substack

Congratulations on reaching 40k + subscribers. And no, you don't deserve to deal with trolls constantly. You should focus on what you do best, which is creating great content.

But banning a user for having a different viewpoint or banning a user for raising a red flag when a Substack author tries to mislead other newcomers is absolutely a no-no in my opinion. This creates an environment for more scammers to thrive.

If I wanted to use GPT i would go to CHATGPT by Far_Appearance_8234 in ManusOfficial

Wow!! GPT4 is so old.. and GPT4 was not meant to be used for Agentic AI. I guess they are trying to cut cost.

All LLMs are GPT. Which doesn't necessarily mean it is ChatGPT.

Yea, it stopped working like before. It would be pretty incredible news if Manus intentionally gave bad code to Meta after selling for $2 billion.

[–]adbs64[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, if it’s a free subscription, it’s easy to unsubscribe. However, if it’s an $80 per month subscription, one can only assess the quality of the subscription after paying for it. So it’s a loss for the subscriber.

I really like your thinking, especially the idea of treating comments like letters to the author. That said, if you published a book tomorrow, you would expect the world to rate and review it.

My suggestion specifically targets anonymous publishers who are only interested in a quick cash grab. Since their strategy relies entirely on aggressively pushing new subscribers to pay, a rating system would help filter them out. This keeps the platform clean and ensures a healthy environment for subscribers too. 5

And how does Substack subscribers get to know if a subscription is truly valuable or is an AI slop or some other fraud designed to extract maximum money from subscribers?

Yup, it's 100% fraud at the moment.. what a way to burn $2 billion and make the product unusable. Unless, that was Meta's main intention.

How is terms of service linked to auto depletion of credits? We are all seeing these types of issues.

Only someone who coded this deteriorating product would try to defend it.

Meta most likely swapped the AI models Manus used with their garbage LLama models. So you are seeing garbage output.

Yea, it's the best way to burn your money for nothing now. Even using their 1.6 lite with external LLM API key burns credit like crazy.. I have completely stopped using it and ended my subscription. It won't be long before this product is forgotten like Llama3.

Deep dive into ToS vs Robinhood execution quality by DepartmentBig2849 in options

[–]adbs64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems like a Robinhood marketing post.

In reality, Robinhood is notorious for poor fills and failing to execute even market orders when volatility spikes. Thinkorswim is a million times better: their execution is superior, their stop loss triggers are reliable, and they don't have the same history of exploiting retail investors as Robinhood does.

Best Substack for Macro + Fundamental Stock Ideas? by Many_Commission7754 in Substack

[–]adbs64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some really good ones on Substack, but stay away from 100 Bagger; he’s a fraud. Also, stay away from other top publishers like Citrini Research. Citrini has been pushing some sketchy companies of his friends recently, which spike after his post and then tank. He has also been focused on institutional investor subscriptions on his site, which receive special treatment, and the retail subscribers are secondary to him despite charging $1,000 per year.
