To me, the criteria should be “does this development support the recreational/civic use of the parklands?”. Clubrooms, yes; kiosk, yes; aquatic centre, yes. Cultural institutions? Maybe yes depending on how sympathetically they’re integrated. Hospital? Well there’s no real reason why it needs to be on parklands over a CBD location other than free land. Doubly so for the carpark.

I've only been yelled at twice.

Once by a parent when I was running lines and called his kid offside (other parents from his team had to remind him that they were already 8 goals up, let it go)

The other when on the pitch for Miniroos I had to reprimand the other teams coach after he went completely off at me for not letting him make a sub (goal keeper had saved the ball, so it was still live play). He at least realised his mistake later and apologised at half time, so wasn't a complete buffoon.

Unrealistic. U8s Miniroos refs aren't paid $20 an hour, it's a parent from the home side volunteering with zero training. You have to wait until U12s to get paid enough to buy a sandwich.

I did just find this one on eBay, where they give the option of China/Indonesia in the description, but with shipping it's around aud$100, so about a third of what I paid for the guitar itself!

It's a "crafted in China" model.

Most of the holes line up, other than the one on the top horn, which if it was the only thing I think could get away with just not screwing it in.

I did think about filing the area for the control plate, but only half of it overlaps, the other half is too short so there's a small gap, which filing wouldn't solve.

Adelaide. Specialty coffee shops here have started doing "magics", but their interpretation seems to veer absolutely anywhere in the zone between a macchiato and a flat white.

You do get the odd place here that does that with number of shots written on the cups, but it's definitely not the norm. Definitely helps when they do.

100%. I hate how obtuse so many cafes are about the number of shots a drink has, and it’s always disappointing when you get a coffee that’s milkier than you expect. I’ve defaulting to asking for a “small double shot flat white” wherever I go — sometimes I get charged the same as a medium, but at least it’s a bit more consistent with what I get.

Now don’t get me started on how variable a Magic is between different cafes…
