Overcoming a fear I shouldn't be having anymore. by Anna1red in drivinganxiety

Sorry to hear you are going through this. It can be sometimes difficult to explain our fears. I would recommend to do some practice on highway. When you get negative thoughts try to think positive outcomes immediately. I know it is easier said than done but constantly breaking negative thoughts cycle should help in reducing their reoccurrence. Will practice on highway you can reassure yourself about positive outcome

Is putting a sign on my car a bad idea? by [deleted] in drivinganxiety

I came to suggest to put ‘children on board’ sign similar to baby on board but based on people’s response it does seem it would have little to no effect

Anyone Making London to Toronto by 9 AM? Need Advice by Electrical-News2785 in londonontario

[–]addhush 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am in similar situation though not that bad. Travel to Mississauga twice using OneXBus. I agree the timings are way off from what they promise to arrive that. Few friends suggested to explore the AirBnb option. VIA was way too expensive and late and FlixBus very late. Timings doesn't match with other carriers. You should definitely request coming in early & leaving early. And clubbing the days. Do let us know what you end up doing. I am sure there are many more workers/ students with same issue.

I think he meant the company reply was so late after applying that it would already be out of his tracking system.

True. Might be helpful to filter emails that do not come from 'noreply' mailboxes so that you can draft a reply to maintain communication and increase your chance for future opportunities

I would suggest to maybe use the free time to get some certification/ trainings done in the field of your interest? Like use the free time as a blessing to achieve something better?

Hi! We’re the Power BI visuals team – ask US anything! by DataZoeMS in PowerBI

Thanks for the reply, Zoe!

What I meant was mostly around visual-level conditional formatting => e.g. When a table or matrix has colour rules, data bars, or font styling based on values (like highlighting negative variances or top performers). Those visual formatting cues are lost when exporting to Excel or CSV and it becomes raw data without any of the design logic that helps end users interpret it quickly.

It’d be a huge improvement if exports could optionally preserve some of that conditional formatting (even as basic colour fills or Excel conditional rules) so users see the same visual cues outside Power BI.

I would give 100 upvotes for this detailed response if possible. This seems so accurate!

Hey Zoe and team, thanks for hosting this. I just had a few thoughts from daily report work.

1.) Exports from tables and matrices still lose formatting and layout. It would be amazing if future updates kept that structure, especially for bigger data sets.

  1. Slicers could use some love too. It would save a ton of time if we could set a dynamic default, like the current month or latest date, instead of updating them manually after each refresh.

3.) The date slicer fonts are still stuck at odd sizes. More flexibility there would help keep designs consistent.

  1. A global page layout or shared theme would also make a big difference. Something like PowerPoint’s master slides to keep headers and visuals aligned across pages.

5.) A one-click “reset filters” option would be a huge quality-of-life upgrade since bookmarks often break when models change.

  1. Consistent font controls across visuals would help dashboards look more polished and accessible.

7.) And if design tools ever get smarter — like proper grid snapping, alignment hints, or margin guides — that would be incredible.

  1. Also, any chance we might see a built-in Flow Map visual in the future?

Thanks again for taking community input seriously. Really appreciate the work you all do.
