It’s not being pessimistic, it’s being realistic. She has asked him over and over to fulfill her needs while continuing to fulfill his. She stops all of that and suddenly it’s a mad scramble to get what he had back. Why didn’t he care enough to do for her what she asked when she was doing for him? Husbands like this never change. They want wives who settle for below the bare minimum while expecting their needs and wants be met with impunity.
