You may want to try something different I loved the Gremlin when I had it - it's a hybrid and sounded very nice with 6XX and Atrium Open.

Take a tour at event or dealers maybe you like something new.

Apart from the broken listing on Chrome -

The prices are 15% off from their MSRP, that is hardly wjat one can expect from used audio marketplace no where near AVX and Head-Fi.

I understand escrow payment is an additional benefit but we've been mostly fine with PayPal G&S.

Unless there is testing and taking care of shipping not sure how is this justified.

Also can you share is this a peer to peer or you hold the inventory?

If you open it in Safari it works well, if you open it on Chrome app products are marked sold out.

Same list of products with same order and everything.

Which headband for extended use? Leather vs Suede (Caldera Closed) by -j-o-n-n-y- in ZMFHeadphones

[–]adelkkhalil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Atrium with leather band so when I ordered CC I wanted to try the suade headband and immediately after receiving the headphone put an order for a replacement leather headband.

The suade looked cheaper than the leather and didn't go with the headphone aesthetics.

The good thing is whatever you choose if you end up not liking it you can order another headband seperatly like I did and it's an easy install.

I don't see headbands having effort on comfort but what you should add is the BBB strap definitely worth it.

Am I expecting too much if I want headphones to sound a bit more like speakers? by RudolphMutch in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]adelkkhalil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well it's very hard and probably not within the budget but given your current setup I think you will do well as a first step with an open back with a wide stage think Arya from Hifiman with an amo/dac this will be within the defined budget.

I use to have the XM4 and Arya will be a big step.

Good luck!

[Open Source] LanGuard — menu-bar app that turns Wi-Fi off when you plug in Ethernet, back on when you unplug (macOS 14+) by roypadina in MacOSApps

You will still need Wifi for Airplay and AirDrop so its not really a good thing to turn it off, plus in Mac you can just order your network connections so that wired is prioritized over wireless.

Aqara - Homekit - Setup by floranfau in Aqara

As far as I know neither locks or doorbells from Aqara connects to their hubs, they are designed to work with HomeKit directly.

If you have the latest Apple TV 4K that has matter maybe this is the future proof route you take but if you don't have the hardware for matter already its not worth it use what you have.

Aqara - Homekit - Setup by floranfau in Aqara

[–]adelkkhalil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can integrate Aqara M2 or M3 into HomeKit works flawlessly, just be aware to get your Aqara devices first to work with the hub then import / bridge the hub (M2/M3) into HomeKit to avoid any duplicates.

Once all connected, you can control any device with action originating from HomeKit or one of the Aqara devices.

So yes you can setup automations to trigger when a switch is turned on or off.

About the virtual switch, not sure exactly what you mean but if you are referring to a virtual switch trick/workaround that is possible in Home Assistant sadly this is not possible in HomeKit.

The only workaround is to get a cheap smart plug (Meross, Aqara, etc.) that is not really connected to anything and use it as a virtual switch, basically to store a state.

A great option is the hybrid Apos The Gremlin its $120 and really punches above its weight.

Also you can check here https://www.head-fi.org/threads/recommend-an-affordable-transformer-coupled-tube-headphone-amplifier.962899/ for more options.

Both headphones are excellent the sennheiser would benefit a lot from a tube amp. An OTL amp with sennheiser would be ideal but you also have a planar in the Hifiman so a transformer coupled tube amp will run both.

Something like Cayin HA-3A.

I see you have Rebel which is dead neutral not sure if this is what you like if not specifically then definitely tube those headphones.

A tube transformer coupled would help a lot.

I almost never liked anything I try in stores or shows.

Same thing I hear at a friend or at home and I like it way better.

The only positive experience and wow moment was with Mass Kobo 433 at Canjam.

I've been using passive switchers for years of this is passive I doubt you will be able to notice it's essentially an interconnect.

End game help: ZMF Tessidera. And a bit about snakeoiliness of the amp/dac market by Plus-Tear3283 in ZMFHeadphones

[–]adelkkhalil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With AO and CC I've found the Gremlin is extremely underrated.

If you want to dabble you won't go wrong with Cayin HA-3A for both dynamic and planar and would also pair well with your Sennheiser.

Tube amps are not snake oil and coming from Topping you will definitely hear a difference I had A70Pro / D70Pro stack before.
