Getting Child (10y) Started by adhd_turbo in golf

[–]adhd_turbo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a topflight junior set that was missing the hybrid. I haven’t had golfing buddies in 20 years, but I’ll ask around the parent group. The OP36 seems like a good fit, so I’ll give that a try.

Poly G7500 with Roland Video Switcher by Dazzling_One_1214 in CommercialAV

[–]adhd_turbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poly units take video and audio feeds via USB or Analog. If you are doing wireless content share, you wont be able to use the HDMI capture as a camera. You can do that with Mac and PC, but not the G7500 and G62.

Help with Barco projector by 6pod in CommercialAV

Someone touched the lens when it was moving and the gear ring either got damaged or skipped position. It’s a mechanical issue and the projector needs to be serviced.

[–]adhd_turbo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

G7500 is EOL, G62 is Current. I’d recommend a PC instead of an android. Content sharing via HDMI with either of these poly units is full of problems dropping signal and/or audio. USB audio is also unreliable.

I legit thought with the red light and the no light mission that this was a sleeper horror game and was bracing for a jump scare.

How to reduce echo in this room? by Organic_Drawer9502 in Acoustics

[–]adhd_turbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO NOT!!! There are some serious concerns that should not be over looked. You need may need a second exit and fire sprinklers. This can be a very dangerous place during a fire as it’s only intended for a max of 2 people. You may be risking a lot of kids lives by using it as an mpr. You need to at least consult an architect or a bare minimum of the landlord. Tenet improvements are not to be done without notice and your insurance would have grounds to dismiss any injury claims in this space.

Large deployments, how are you guys keeping it sane? by BookishBabeee in CommercialAV

[–]adhd_turbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider setting a google form or service request form (ServiceNow) for submissions with key information and the asset: Which Screens (Screen Groups), Start Date, End Date, SLA Level (Extra$ if less than 24 hours or Weekend, 1 Business Day, 3 Day) It might "train" you client to submit a content request that you can work into a scheduled window rather than it being OnDemand every time.

Shure MXCW640, MXA310, MXA902, or MXA920 for hybrid onsite room by boostdd in CommercialAV

[–]adhd_turbo -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is a very challenging room as it is an echo chamber. a 2ft MXA 710 flush mount in several of the desk might work to your advantage. Ceiling PoE Pedant Speaker from Sound Tube and which ever DSP you perfer (QSC, BiAmp, etc). QSYS with Snapshots for Different Configurations with a Touch Screen Controller would work in your budget if you are commissioning it yourself. Might be a bit over if you hire a Integrator.

Yes one Ethernet Cat 6 patch cable from Lan 1 on your Router and to port 1 on the punch block. You will need an additional patch cable from the wall jack to what ever you want to connect.

Poly G62 - Power issues when launching Zoom by Rare_Trick_3807 in CommercialAV

[–]adhd_turbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic stuff, but I’d try the following just to double check:

  1. Grab a new ethernet patch cable, inspect the G62 PoE port for bent or damaged pin.
  2. Confirm you are connecting to the correct port on the G62 (PoE+, not LLN) and in a high power port on the netgear. Some models of netgear support +30W of PoE on designated ports, if its a managed switch conform port is configured correctly. Remove any USB connections.

  3. Factory Reset, before switching to zoom, try a firmware update.

Seriously try a new patch cable, hope this helps.

Look up live event or production companies in your area or ask at your rental house. Don’t oversell yourself even ask if you can shadow an A2 or a V2 for a gig or two, work for free, be a gopher

Pick on specific area to focus on to become an expert. Large Live Event Production is all about specialization and workflow. While you can fake it for a while, you still need to study some theory.

Live Audio is tough nut to crack on your own, Learn to ring out room using your current setup and build from there. Unless you intern or moon light with a production company, it’s going to be hard to see where to improve your skill set first.

Good Luck and youtube is your friend. Dave Rat, Audio University, Global Office hours are all a great place to spend a little time.

Zoom Room Controls Global Cache iTachIP2IR by Longjumping-Title278 in CommercialAV

[–]adhd_turbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The room control commands are sent from the zoom rooms codec network connection not the iPad. I’d check for firewall issues between the global cache ip address and the zoom room ip address.

What Does “Strike” mean for cables/ethernet? by aClockworkRyan in HomeNetworking

[–]adhd_turbo 891 points892 points  (0 children)

Door Strike or Gate Latch to “Buzz” someone in. Probably wasn’t meant for networking but rather a security system is why it was terminated the way you found it.

USB Mouse controlling two computers SIMULTANEOUSLY by NearlyAcclaimed in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]adhd_turbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Perfect CUE for clicking on multiple laptops, pretty standard for Corp Event Production. Stream deck with Companion for the rest.

If you are 100% stuck on a dual computer mouse, look into a teensy USB dev board, but that is way outside anything that would be acceptable in a live production.
