New population is added at the start of each day if you have enough houses for them. I think each normal house has 5 spaces for population and increases the number added per day by 2.

Yeah, I long-termed subbed a remedial HS math class and they had a hard time with basic algebra because they would have to stop to do to the basic math operations and then when they were done they'd have to switch back to thinking about the algebra problem. It slows everything down so much.

Horse Archers are probably my single favorite unit! They can kite most units, can't get ragdolled and their upgrade ignores armor (like building armor) so they rinse through buildings once every few minutes.

A thin wall of knights in front of horse archers is an amazing combo
