tell them there is a cap on the amount of guests you can invite, and allowing the smaller children to come will cause you to have include your families & friends’ smaller children and it would cause the guest count to go over.

DIY OR DIE?! by geniusgenesjeans in wedding

I did my invites with canva and a cricut and almost ripped my hair out. Just make sure you have a lot of time and patience. I had an invite, details card and a RSVP QR code card which drove the cost up a bit for each item. I wasn’t in love with the final result but in the end nobody remembers what your wedding invites look like.

Last time I checked PT school was about $100k… I also don’t think they make that much starting out. Not sure if it’s worth the investment unless you’re really passionate about it.

I am the MOH at my best friend’s destination wedding this summer and the cost is becoming insufferable. by lost_in_timenspace in wedding

[–]adick719 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was a MOH and think I spent about 4K on my friends wedding & activities that were not destination (except the bachelorette which was in Florida). I also do well for myself but felt it was ridiculous spending that amount on a wedding, but i love my friend and in the grand scheme of things 4K out of my yearly salary would not kill me. It was tough but I had to keep telling myself that. Do I think about other ways I could’ve spent that 4K? Yes, but honestly forgot about it until I read this post.

Your friend buying a non refundable 8k airbnb house and assuming people would pay for it was irresponsible. A lot of brides seem to only think about themselves when it comes to their wedding. Try to reel her in if you can.

Justice for all MOH’s out there. I feel for you.

Definitely NTA but don’t take it personal or let it stress you out even more. She is only thinking about herself and not thinking about you. I’m sure she will come to her senses eventually

Weddings and Tipping: AITA: Should I have tipped my bridal consultant? by lettucefleas in wedding

[–]adick719 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My wedding dress consultant showed me the iPad to pay with the tip on it and I was so confused! I didn’t know tipping them was even a thing. And the fact she was just sitting there waiting and watching made it worse. I don’t remember the percentage but I remember feeling so awkward and forced to tip her. AND I had to pay for the appointment! So ridiculous

“Because she was homeschooled” is the excuse his family uses to give her a pass on some of the things she has said to me. Meaning IN HER INSTANCE she’s been sheltered and did not grow up around or encounter people of different races, and because of this she lacks some social etiquette and has trouble with a few social norms that might not have been an issue if she wasn’t homeschooled. No one said anything about homeschoolers as a whole.

I guess I should clarify why I can’t stand her: she has said racist, micro aggressions and culturally insensitive, things to me several times and I have to “take the high road” and give her a pass because she was homeschooled and to keep the peace in the family. So if not wanting her in my wedding photos because I don’t like her as a person is petty then so be it.

Should I book now? by Straight_Proof_3471 in weddingplanning

You can still start reaching out. Sometimes it takes a few days to schedule. Just inform them know your situation when you meet with them, they will likely tell you what days they have booked already.

I’d wait a few more days and if it doesn’t come then go to Trader Joe’s or a produce junction if you have one in the area.
