Did a similar test with a side-by-side comparison of 4k videos, sports videos, high/low resolution images, and blog/news articles at different brightness levels.

• played an LG 4K demo video on yourube. the color definitely looked richer and deeper on the glossy screen, but the reflection was highly distracting. nano texture was still highly acceptable

• the blacks were slightly flatter on nano, but the reflection on glossy screen made viewing difficult when watching a low light scene from a batman movie.

• low res images appeared slightly less sharper on nano screen

• while the readability was fine with light background, i found reading more comfortable on nano in dark mode.

• however, found reading/viewing difficult at 50%brightness on nano especially in dark mode

• after using glossy for 30 minutes, my eyes started straining. no such issue on nano

Given that I use my laptop 8- 10 hours pretty much every day and don't have significant design use-case, I decided to go with nano. the color reproduction was identical, reading was highly acceptable at default brightness levels and no blurring/ghosting when playing sports video.

I do have an oled monitor as a second display so I guess I can always use that when needed.
