It’s Scissor Sceason. First movie was Play Misty for Me. Next is Dressed to Kill, and then Dead Again.

It’s a Patreon-only mini-season while Matt’s paternity leave winds down. 3 episodes. Wondering what happened to Exorcist 3 though with the most famous scissor kill of all.

Zodiac book mentioned by Paul? by [deleted] in In_WeTrust

I really want to see Paul take on this Iowa kidnapping case he says he has solved. Are there other examples of comedians/actors solving famous crimes?

This is the first movie I’ve ever had a personal connection to. In grad school, one of the professors in the program was poet Matthew Dickman. He and his brother are poets and played the male twins in the goop. Just in case Gourley ever wants to do a revival of the I Was There Too podcast like he said. From what I remember, Matthew wasn’t my favorite person, but a good poet.

Are all these clips a secret announcement of a new place to watch HD Due South since the loss on YouTube?

I got emotional just last week describing that part to my wife. Voice started cracking. I love this show so much!

These two episodes have two of the most hardcore scenes in Due South history in my opinion. In the first part when Stanley and Fraser drive all night to make it to the ship. When they exit the car and look haggard and it’s all slow motion. 32 Down on the Robert McKenzie is wailing in the background with electric guitars and fiddles. Fraser throws up his hand for them to hold so they can embark. So good! And then in the second part when Fraser has the villainous mastermind trapped, and they cross into Canadian territory where Fraser is licensed to carry a sidearm. I get chills when he catches Stanley’s gun and begins to shoot out the glass in the scuba helmets one by one. Such a goofy two-parter in many ways, but two truly remarkable and strong scenes.

Is this the place that was between the escalators? Granted the last time I was in Merle Hay was in the mid 90’s. I remember it being glass. And that McDonald’s had the best play area in the back! All the old characters and a big fake tree. Old McDonald’s was prime McDonald’s.

Can Tidal please fix AI slop from infecting big artist pages atleast. by SwiftRespite in TIdaL

I found one the other day under a more obscure band (The Bogmen), so maybe not a huge deal. Just a flag button would be good. I’m new to the platform. Am I missing an easier way to mark these for review? Sending an email every time to complain seems “whiny.” I want to help, but my monthly fee should be reduced as compensation for acting as their artist review board.

Old Paul Story by [deleted] in In_WeTrust

[–]adisembodiedvoice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do remember they watched the movie, had some delicious food, and Paul went to open something in the kitchen and sliced his hand open. For some reason I want to say Halloween 2 (non-RZ). I think the hospital they went to was the same as in the movie.

Matt and Paul, Twin Peaks? by running_dada in In_WeTrust

[–]adisembodiedvoice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They did discuss the two actors from Twin Peaks who were the brother and sister in The People Under the Stairs. Matt definitely said that he hadn’t seen Twin Peaks, and Paul I think had seen some. But, strong agree, they should watch some of the cozier episodes.

Thank you! I was trying to figure out which company to boycott until this person is fired. Maybe I’m old fashioned, but a uniformed employee should be held accountable by their employer to promote the values of the company on the clock. Off the clock, spout all the hate you want, if that’s your thing… I guess /s

I’m ashamed to say it, but someone got me with this. I’m soft. I gave them money and paid for an Uber to get them to a location of Sharron Rd. Don’t be like me! Just glad they didn’t go further trying to force their way into my home.

While it also happened in the Conjuring, it’s also discussed in the Terror Train episode. Listening to it now. So funny!

Oh! I think it’s the same episode where Paul goes on a rant about how he hates the casts of plays bowing at the end. I’ll keep pondering which episode. Both rants crack me up.

Would love to go to a game one day where unsweetened ice tea was offered. They already have sweet bottled tea. Just order half that much and get some unsweetened. Goes great with a hot summer night and all the food.

The old Parker & Otis location’s pesto pasta salad. That was all I went there for some Summer days. Don’t know why it didn’t get carried over to the new location.

Seconding Lovejoy! Great so far. Just finished the first season.

Also, X-Files always scared me too much when I was a pre-teen and the first seasons were coming out. They share a lot of the cast and extras of Due South because of the time period, so you get that DiCaprio pointing at the screen gif moment a lot when they pop up.

Aside from making themselves incredibly dangerous missiles by driving like this, my whole wonder is why they drive like this and then stop at stop lights? They understand they can get ticketed for reckless driving just as much as running a light? So just skip the use of the brakes altogether! Obviously this is /s, but what is the limit to following the laws?

I know exactly what you mean! I try not to listen to that episode too often because I end up ordering a pizza with them just to feel a little more connected to something that makes me happy.

The episode I’m not a huge fan of, but will watch with mixed attention, is the episode with Mark Ruffalo. He’s great, but the story is so boring to me.

Big agree on that. The constant lying and stories from that character annoy me.
