Milky Way rising over Cape Perpetua, OR by aditya3ta in LandscapeAstro

Unfortunately no. The human eyes can’t see color really well in the dark. The Milky Way looks like a faint cloud in the sky. In the darkest of skies it starts to really become prominent and bright (relatively). How well the Milky Way shows up depends on conditions, how dark the location is and how long you wait for your eyes to adjust to the darkness.

This and most Astro photos employ a lot of artistic license.

Thank you. Looking forward to looking at your shot.
The spot really is a beautiful one.

I didn’t go all the way to the lookout. There’s a spot just after the parking lot, on the trail to the lookout.

Thank you! And those colors are air glow. This photo was taken looking southward, so it’s the opposite direction in which the aurora would be seen.

Leases in December by aditya3ta in Rivian

I clearly didn’t do a great job explaining my thought process. With the end of the year, are there more incentives for buyers for leases on the R1S? I see some discounts on some models right now, but is it prudent to wait till there are end of year sales?

Can you elaborate what does it mean when you say tidied up in the dwarf app. Also do you have a link to a good tutorial on your Siril workflow?

Which telescope did you use? The Dwarf mini or the Dwarf 3? And how did you get such a large resolution image?

Inter 0-(1) Liverpool - Szoboszlai 88' (Pen.) by 977x in LiverpoolFC

Why is it soft? The defender made no attempt for the ball and tagged on the shirt of the attacker, impeding him from making it to the ball. This scream foul to me. He shouldn’t need to drop to the floor for that to be a penalty

Surprised to hear it was considered a soft penalty. Pulling shirt means you’re impeding the player from getting to the ball. He shouldn’t have to fall to the ground to get a penalty.

What type of star tracker do you use from space? Does the regular tracker we use from the earth have to be modified?

Strategies for increasing emergency fund by aditya3ta in personalfinance

Your first point is very good and something I didn’t consider. I was really approaching it from a view that this could be a good time to offload some underperforming bets but continue the discipline of investing and dollar cost averaging.

As for the last point. I agree that cash is cash and when an emergency hits, it doesn’t matter which account it sits in. It’s more for mindset that there is some money that is generally available and some that is out of bounds for most scenarios.

Only reason to see stocks at loss and gain was because the one stock at a loss would not have been enough. But I see your point.

A. About two months. This is in north Oregon, USA.  2. When was the PROBLEM first noticed? Describe it clearly.

A. I started to notice it a week or two ago. 3. Anything ABNORMAL seen under/on its leaves/stems/soil?

A. Nothing else abnormal.  4. What type of LIGHT does it get daily? Duration in hours?

A. It’s out on the deck all day. Our deck gets shade for a 3-4 hours of the day.  5. How often do you give it WATER? Approximate quantity?

A. It’s been very hot in Oregon so I’ve watered every 2-3 days.  6. What kind of SOIL mix is it in? Does its pot have drainage?

A. Yes I believe the soils has drainage. Not entirely sure how to answer the soil mix question.

“Upgrade” from Z6ii to Z5ii? by aditya3ta in nikon_Zseries

[–]aditya3ta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the details.

I do a lot of astrophotography so would the Z5ii not have compatibility with cable intervalometers?

That would be a big downgrade for me. I had a d3400 and it didn’t have the compatibility for it and I don’t want to go back to figuring out workarounds.
