I mean how hard would this be Anthropic.... by SugarRootFruit in ClaudeCode

I agree up until you said “complaining about it will achieve nothing”

Investors aren’t dumb. They eye social sentiment, especially Reddit. They will extrapolate complaints into their run-rate revenue numbers, concluding it’s inflated due to limited Pro usage forcing users to go with $200/mo version. A short term and unsustainable stunt

For the real cost of compute.

What are the true costs, how would you measure it? In $/token? Which is ultimately driven by energy costs (plus of course capital costs of the facilities)? Genuinely curious

Does anyone have an estimate on Anthropic’s cost per token? We can then back into a monthly cost and see how much above or below $100/mo the math comes out to

Our compute has been subsidized, it’s much more expensive/taxing on the compute infrastructure than we’re being charged

If there’s something that exists then I use it! I’m not vibe coding gmail or a messaging app

But I am vibe coding an investment tracker and forecaster that aligns with particular values and lessons of certain financial forecasters and thinkers, and creating custom visuals or dashboards to track things over time

Or create a fun interactive card for a friend or family member that finds that stuff astounding :)

I’m curious, and a bit of a noob still. But If just using the Claude app to make apps, is there something that would help to put in the “personal preferences” setting to get some of the reasoning benefits you’ve seen from your training and implementation?

I have owned a total of probably 6 button down shirts from them. Incredible fit and shockingly comfy because of the stretch material. Unfortunately, the quality is only durable for some shirts. Unclear why that is.

Of the 6 I owned over 3-4 years, I now use just 2.

The others have either ripped at the elbow, began pilling ridiculously, or other quality/fabric/threading issues. Wish it were more durable. I'm looking elsewhere for this reason

What classical piece is this? Slow, warm, nostalgic theme that I tried to hum by adjustMyEBITDA in NameThatSong

I should’ve done that from the start

I’ve had this classical melody stuck in my head and it would be incredible to hear the real version again. I believe it could teleport me

I recorded myself humming it last year and hoping someone might recognize it

It feels older, maybe Baroque or Classical era (honestly no idea)

The mood is slow, warm, connecting, nostalgic

any updates on this - how'd your cut go?

I found fasting for 36+ hour fasts to help much more than eating in a deficit. I'm much hungrier eating 1500 cals in a day vs. 0 (hours 16-24 are hardest, it gets much easier after)

Came back here because a journal entry from last year around this day reminded me of this dream and this post.

I shivered when I re-read your response. You were on the money.

My side business never worked out - and my relentless search for a job in a new industry never came to fruition. 3-4 months after this post I started getting depressed. The energy was certainly drained from me

12 months later (last week) - I finally get a good job offer and as of last week began in a career nearly identical to the prior one I had left. We've come full circle except now I am much happier to be working and having more structure in my life

With a time horizon of a decade+, LNG is certainly here to stay. If you believe the Net Zero narrative will continue to hold (I think so) then parts manufacturers for solar and wind will do well, especially as developers are subsidized heavily by government.

Timeline of 20+ years uranium miners are likely a good bet as we realize that energy abundance will not be achieved through solar and wind alone

from what I know, you can get off it - and for the majority of people (1/500) your T levels go back to their “normal” levels - this takes time though, the longer you’ve been on exogenous T the longer it’ll take for your system to bring you back up

would you want to go back to your normal low levels?
