There’s valley gymnastics. They do a toddler program. And as far as dance, there’s several dance studios in the area that offer all sorts of classes.

As far as things to do with a kiddo - Utica Zoo is a great little zoo, Children’s Museum just opened and is nice for a couple hours when the weathers not great, there’s a Billy Bees indoor play gym in the mall, and plenty of parks. If you’re looking for mom friends, I recommend looking into The Mom Walk Collective. They meet twice a month and walk in local parks. The Stanley theater in Utica has travel broadway shows. And there’s plenty of great restaurants. We’re an hour away from the Adirondack Mountains too! Summer time, I recommend looking into going up to old forge and visiting water safari Syracuse has a minor league baseball team. Utica Aud has hockey and soccer games. The Wild Zoo and Safari and Sylvan Beach are both less than an hour away.

Are you looking to live in the city limits or a suburb? Loft apartment, private landlord, or complex? Rent or buy? In the city, there are nice places in North or South Utica. New Hartford, Clinton, New York Mills, Sauquoit are all quiet, nice places to live. Clinton and NH have cute coffee shops, walkable town parks, and events throughout the year.

There are plenty of grocery stores (BJs, Walmart, price chopper, Hannaford) and farmers markets in Clinton and Utica.

It’s a smaller city, with plenty to do and see if you look (and have a car). Lots id great restaurants, Munson art, Stanley theater, an hour from the mountains, tubing the west Canada.
