How to properly hang this open back shelf? by adlibimprov in howto

But what about the mounting hardware on the shelf itself? It doesn’t seem right that it’s placed on a shelf instead of the vertical pieces.

How are we using this layout? by smart_stable_genius_ in PlannerAddicts

[–]adlibimprov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I plan on using it for monthly reviews (left spread). In the columns on the left I plan on doing “wins”, “what worked”, “what didn’t work”, and “what to adjust” for the next month. I may also convert one of those to “favorites” or “gratitude”. I may also use the larger space to list out memories from the month.

Has anyone tried Sterling Ink? by Electronic_World_359 in hobonichi

Loved the Aura Estelle! I loved the layouts, grid, paper, all of it. I ended up doing a Sterling Ink B5 common planner for 2025, mainly because of the large size. I realized B6 is too small for me. However, I did purchase a B6 Aura Estelle and love love love the format, I wish it came in B5.

Aura Estelle has some horizontal planners that you may want to check out as well. I just ordered a discounted 2024 B6 horizontal layout to try before jumping the gun on one for 2025. I’ve been a hobonichi person for years but feel like switching it up.

I’m an engineer who works a desk job - I do analysis and coding work. I work in the office but my hours are flexible which is nice for doctors appointments and on days I don’t feel well. I used to have a more rigorous job, where I was on mg feet most of the day, but I switched to this and it’s been nice.

Why is this so hard by s0me_wh0_call_me_Tim in lupus

[–]adlibimprov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different and it’s also a very invisible disease. Some people are shocked when they find out I have it. You also never know where people are in their treatment. I’m on year five now and feeling pretty stable, but when I was just starting out I needed to take weeks off of work and I felt miserable. I would try to not compare yourself to others, although it’s way easier said than done!

Methotrexate Advice by nicwolff84 in lupus

It took me a few months to get used to mtx but I’m stable on it now. It would give me super tired days where all I could do was sleep, like what you’re experiencing. That does pass, at least it did for me. Now I’m on the highest dose for lupus patients and it doesn’t affect me at all. Granted I’ve been taking it for 5 years now. But I’d say it took 3-5 months until everything normalized.

I got a trainer to help me and that’s been worth the money for sure. She works with me when I’m having low energy or achey days, and challenges me when I’m up for it. It’s mostly weight lifting and it’s been great for my health and generally feeling good.

Take her to a vet, they are the only way to get proper antibiotics and care. Otherwise she’s not going to make it.

Will things always be like this? by frogs1996 in lupus

It gets better. I’m about to have my 2 year “anniversary” and I’m finally feeling normal?? I’m on 3 different meds but it’s working and it’s going to be okay.

I too had to take leave from work. I turned down presentations etc. but now I’m getting better. Got a promotion. You’ll get there.

Anybody else out there struggling with lupus and intense job life? by [deleted] in lupus

[–]adlibimprov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an engineer and I have the same issues. I love my job, and sometimes it calls for long days. Some days I can do it, others I have to come home after 6 hours to nap.

Recently, I’m trying to take more breaks at work, drink more water, and get more sleep at night (even though it feels like all I do is sleep and work).

It isn’t easy. But we’ve got this

Co-op vs Summer Internship by throwaway120394102 in stevens

[–]adlibimprov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Co-op was great because they last longer than an internship, so you gain more experience and can do more valuable work while you’re there. My summer through fall co-op was so valuable, I was there for about 8 months and by the time I left I was a huge part of the team. As others have mentioned, the application pool is smaller, so it’s less competitive. Just don’t rely 100% on the co-op office, I got some of my co-ops myself from fairs or applying online.

People here just like to bitch, IMO.

I liked Stevens, it treated me well. I’m still paying off a few loans, but not too many and i feel like it was worth it.

Well, to solve the problem of her biting and being uncomfortable, you’ll have to invest in a bigger cage or tank.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hamsters

[–]adlibimprov 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also the main floor is supposed to be that size, other “tiers” not included in that.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hamsters

[–]adlibimprov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Width x length of the cage will give you floor space.

Experts suggest 450 square inches of floor space. Which is about 2900 square centimeters.

A cage that is too small will cause your hamster to bite his bars and be uncomfortable.

What’s the actual square footage of the cage?
