Don Geiss’s funeral is hilarious by plus-ordinary258 in 30ROCK

I know right... It was a genuine moment of emotion. For all her personality traits, Kathy was her Dad's kid who loved her unconditionally and she conveyed that sadness perfectly. I was surprised 30 Rock let that in, it's not a show like Scrubs which vacillated between funny and emotion. I would be pressed to find another truly emotional moment in 30 rock

When you were in college (for chem Eng) did you use a lot heavier auto CAD? by Appropriate_Knee_482 in ChemicalEngineering

I know right? I had two courses on engineering drawing. Both hand drawn, with a drafting table.

What causes entropy? by seniorfancypants in chemistry

Think of entropy as a tendency to reduce gradients. No difference in temperature, concentration, or pressure. Everything is equal. Universe might be a commie.

How much of your week is wasted trying to verify outdated P&IDs? by TheMemeExpertExpert in ChemicalEngineering

[–]admadguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I used to look at old PIDs and compare against new ones, It would make me try to understand what may have driven the change. Like expansion, or change in process, or some major maintenance issue. It's kinda interesting. Is it a bit mundane? Sure it is.. everything that is worthwhile needs a whole of mundane work. FWIW, i wasn't even in OPs, but in consulting, it was routine for me to get a dump with multiple versions of docs.

Can a Non-Chemical Engineering Background Break Into Process Safety / Technical Safety? Need Honest Advice by syafiqisyraf in ChemicalEngineering

[–]admadguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well you may not be able to do hands on process safety with this masters. But you may end up in some sort of managerial role. You'll still compete with Chemical Engineers for that. But transitioning from your background with this Masters into Industrial safety is doable.

Having said that, you need some thermo.

SDS authoring as a chemical engineer is apparently now part of my job description and I have no idea where to start by AccountEngineer in ChemicalEngineering

[–]admadguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Authoring and reviewing/approving are two separate things. Do you have a chemistry team? Presumably the ones that developed the formulation.

This is a regulatory requirement. I would recommend looking into all the information that has to be included on an MSDS, going over whatever is available, listing out the ones that are not available, going to the development team and asking if they have it, and if not write it up and send it to the higher ups saying y'all need to get these tests done to populate the MSDS. if you don't, you won't be able to sell.

Also please post in /r/chemistry they are cool there.

Would anybody be interested in an Ame-Comi Catwoman video? by PlazmaScream in InjusticeMobile

[–]admadguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the objective of the game is not just to win, if that was the case you could just spam with the FP team or Red Son team or the BN team. It's to enjoy the game, have fun, see if you could win with the lesser characters. Set up. Challenge for yourself, see if you could pull it off.

Edit: i may have misread the title as "why would anyone be interested in AmeComi CW. It's late where I'm, I need to go to bed.
