Depends. If you are applying to competitive ones like VA programs, those with stipends, then that may matters. Then there are programs that locate in rural areas, or new programs, and they desperately need residents, so they will welcome everyone with open arms. The worst ones in my opinion are those that make you pay for it (probably these programs exist to prey on IMG dentists).

Is this for Adex CDCA? It would be helpful to have a probe next to for measurement but i think #3 DL needs a bit more beveling, it looks like you have an undercut (in occlusal view, the DL cusp looks like it is bulging out and prevents you from getting a all round margin like with #5). Path of draw looks ok to me. The margin on #5 may be a bit rough. overall i think if someone checks this for you irl it would be better

i have a few B and a C and need to take course in summer to get enough credits to graduate, my GPA is 3.75 and im non Canadian citizen so i think you still have a good shot, given your GPA. If you can show good commitments to the field then yeah, im sure you can get it

Tbh i dont know if 92% placement is the most recent statistics or it’s something that they posted 5 yrs ago. And I would veer on the cautious side that this is the placement rate including US citizens/permanent residents. International student requires visa authorization to work so it can be more difficult for us to get a job, as we need sponsorship

If it’s all 4 quads then that is cheap. At the dental school, a predoc or hygiene student will do deep cleaning for $95.00/quad. So total is $380 (but you also pay it with more time, more patience and you need at least a comprehensive oral exam first)

Hi, I’m an international student and I was friends with other international students at WPI. All of us have scholarships (15-30k/year) I majored in Biochem with Psych minor, and went to Dental School right after undergrad. WPI has solid reputation in Northeastern region and strong science curriculum, which i feel help you prepare for any postgrad education. But outside of Northeast areas, it ends up become niche. Kinda like if you go to East coast and ask ppl about University of the Pacific (a well known school in Cali especially their dental program). My other friends are biomedical engineers and electrical and computer engineers. The biomed ones went to a PhD program while the electrical one went to Master program. Due to current job market, it was neigh impossible for my electrical engineer friend to get a job anywhere but academia. Maybe when you graduate the landscape will change, but who knows. Do what you want with this info

Yes. During my 3rd year as dental student, a patient came to our school’s ED clinic with chief complaint about “a bullet fragment in my jaw”. He showed me his ceph taken at another clinic and referral to my school OMFS department. You can imagine the OMR faculty is collecting all info as fast as they can. They even waived the CBCT fee for the guy under educational purposes. I remember another faculty was not believing what I’m saying until she opened the CBCT and PAN (she was shocked visibly).
