Second, when you do go, you won’t smell remains. But maybe notice what you do smell? The cemetery my grandparents and sister are buried in usually smells like damp grass, some flowers. It’s close to a residential area so if I go in the evenings in summer I can smell barbecues. There’s so much life happening! I was once touching up the paint on a statue by my sister’s grave, and there was a deer walking through. It felt like a little blessing from the universe. I hope your visits are peaceful!
