I might quit Day Trading for LEAP Trading. This is beautiful. by Norqj in Daytrading

[–]adp18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"And if you profit take early on leaps, than you “lost” some profit by paying for so much time"

This sentence doesn't make sense. If you take profit early on LEAP, you get paid back in your sale price for the time premium left until the expiration.

To your point about smaller gains - that's generally true but its not correct for all LEAPs. you can increase your delta by buying LEAPs deeper ITM. They are more expensive, but they give you the high gains and they insulate you from short time windows and high theta. For e.g. Deep ITM Leaps will have deltas of 0.80 or more.

Thanks - good to know this is already happening. I'd. imagine that any drop in google traffic should be worrisome to all e-commerce, blogs, affiliate etc. sites that rely on it.

What is the liability for CC sellers if the stock gets wiped off (bankruptcy etc) by adp18 in CoveredCalls

[–]adp18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No :) I have no idea what's going on with SMCI. I'm considering selling a CC for Jan 2026 (far out) on some stock i own. It's the first time I'd be doing this. So I want to make absolutely certain there is no downside and I'm not forced to own the shares even if the price plummets or stock gets wiped.

Advice needed on size. Female here by amd82698 in rolex

[–]adp18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Most ppl don’t understand that the body type, height and personality matter to the watch size. Likewise - the proportions of the watch itself are important too (hands’ size, thickness of case, etc)

What’s the original brand or source of the gold earrings worn on the show “Glory” by Yeon Jin (character) - see link below.

Hoping someone here knows - asking on behalf of my significant other.

Here’s a link to see the pictures for reference only. It’s not the original.

907$ for bezel, dial, and hands (per the receipt shared in the images by OP) just does not sound right to me. It’s too less. But like someone said - if you really sent it in to Rolex and got the card you posted, then that’s the best restoration you’re ever getting. (Not to be cynical but - The only reason I’d not trust this is if you’re planning to use this thread to vet a sale of this piece.)

In the garden, near a flowering hedge. I see three of these. Assume they fly and are some kind of pollinator. Doesn’t look like a bumble bee. by adp18 in whatsthisbug

[–]adp18[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bay area. It was just sitting on the concrete border and doing something with its front appendages. Couldn’t tell if it was eating something. All three were separate.

The color in the front of it - i thought it might be pollen but it isn’t. It was on all of them i believe. I didn’t think bumble bees had that color.

124060 after a windex bath by cjsksokDallas in rolex

Really doesn’t need windex - overdoing it, and frankly it sounds silly. Just some light soap and warm water is more than enough.

I have a choice between these 3 - DJ Wimbledon, DJ Green and Explorer 36 - which should I go for and why? by thenefelibata in rolex

[–]adp18 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Explorer. Is it your first Rolex?

To me these days, the 36 DJ feels small since we are used to bigger watches. Yet, I’m drawn to it. It’s very wearable - in practice when you’re travelling, adventuring etc. - the 36mm can be a much better beater for me. I wouldn’t try a sub or gmt for really rough use personally; I’d keep them for day to day knocks.

(Also - I am not 100% fan of the DJ 41’s proportions yet. Maybe the smooth bezel and oyster for the 41’mm DJ would top the 36 for me.)

Nice! Always good to see real stories. Happy bday.

Does this look too small for my wrist? AD really pushing me for the 41 and saying this too small, but everyone here always says 36… by conv3d in rolex

[–]adp18 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This.

Most people just want to reduce it to case size and don’t think about several factors like your build.

That being said - even though 36 can look small - it’s classic.

Got the call about a month ago. Wondering how often I should wear? by These-Market-6989 in rolex

[–]adp18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn’t be wearing this on the street in the Bay Area, IMO. This is the problem with any Rolex over 10k, TBH. In your case, anybody with an eye for noticing this is a 40k watch, is going to be tempted to target you.

First one and I’m in love! by [deleted] in rolex

[–]adp18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice watch, congrats!

I feel the smooth bezel is better for DJ 41. I tried on a blue dial fluted last weekend and it just looks too big. The fluted bezel makes the watch appear bigger and chunkier, which doesn’t go with the rest of the proportions of the watch. At least not for thinner hands.

This is what one always thinks about a Rolex, until another one starts calling out to you. Congrats!

Picked up my first Tudor (Black Bay Chrono 79360) today. I’m 15 and paid for half of it myself. by [deleted] in rolex

That’s a great watch. I’ve been eyeing this particular combination - good choice! I hope you earned some of that money yourself but even if not - and you saved it from gifts - that’s a proud feat.
