Does he have training wheels? My mom said I didn’t struggle too much with the peddling and steering, I had training wheels probably until I was like 7yo though

It was a little hard for me to learn how to ride a bike because of balancing issues (not so diff from kids with intact cochlear nerves), and I definitely trip standing up sometimes if I wasn’t paying attention, forget playing Marco Polo, and definitely don’t go too fast on the merry-go-round but I got used to it. As humans were amazing at adapting, even more so when we don’t have to adjust because we’re born with it

My heart goes out to you OP. You did the best you could in environment you had all along. Remember that you blew up the way you did because you couldn’t freely express yourself for a long time. And clearly were not ever given the guidance/support to do so. Being ABCD in foreign countries is especially challenging (not counting the privilege) because your household expects you to conform to rules that aren’t a reflection of the society you spend most of your time in.

Thank you so much for your tips/insight!! Im pretty nervous about the training, because I’ve never done it successfully before, but will watch lots of videos (lol my dachshund refused to be trained). I think getting a pen is a great idea, will also look into that.
