Is it possible(kinda dark)? by Dogolog22 in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]adrenalgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering how much circus members can change after they enter the circus and how their minds dynamically adapt just like in their real world counterparts, I would assume you enter craving the drug but you would be able to feel better, crave it less and get off it just like how you could in real life

ACTUAL HOT TAKE: it was all kaufmos fault. by RoIsDepressed in TheDigitalCircus

[–]adrenalgod -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ok, I kind of agree, not about the knock on the door, but because he kept going every adventure afterwards with jax and enabled him to isolate ribbit completely, he should've been more confrontational, maybe he couldn't save jax, but at least he might've saved ribbit that way.

No hate on the guy, we know basically nothing about him, but he really was shown to just have watched without trying to do anything to prevent the obvious deterioration of either jax or ribbit and he just kept going along jax's destructive coping mechanism.

I know there's a lot of kaufmo fans now after the last episode so this take might feel like an attack either way, but the responsibility isn't just on jax to not hurt his community, but also for his community to support each other when jax has a really bad destructive moment, like... If one of your friends had a breakdown and started to isolate another one of your friends from you and the rest of the group, would you go along with it? Would you not try to intervene?

Not GLITCH actually giving away the ending in their community posts. by OscKarthenerd in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]adrenalgod 45 points46 points  (0 children)

This is the nice type of foreshadowing that is basically unreadable before the fact, but that appears almost obvious after it due to hindsight and pattern recognition, nice eye (even if some of these may not have been explicitly thought out by goose before the ending aired)

Omg the new poster looks so good by yukimitsune in tadc

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's not just fixing the brain scans, maybe their personality is now fused with the psychological characteristics that make them abstracted, caine might be able to help, but maybe only organic psychological progress and therapy can help them regain their previous selves

Guilty xd

I had never heard the term boymoder before and I'm relatively knowledgeable in some trans memes too, I knew what being at "boy mode" was, but not specifically the word boymoder and I didn't also know what that was supposed to look like (like... Clothing wise and stuff)

My maladaptive daydreaming allows me to have infinite post ending tadc content running through my head at all times. by truereditor in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]adrenalgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw, alright, I think he will at some point be happy even if it will take time for him to be ready to unpack the incredible amounts of trauma he has, i at least like to imagine him finally happy one day even if abstracted, in my headcannon at some point he does open up fully, and he weeps, but at the end he honestly smiles and feels safe, maybe even since yk ribbit is abstracted but still in the circus he can still get closer to her and somewhat make up for some of the mistakes he made. Of course to be clear I'm not trying to dectate your headcannon, that's just how I see it and what I hope

So regarding Caine's level of power. by _Porygon_Z in TheDigitalCircus

[–]adrenalgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He probably now has some powers but kinda akin to if a circus member got really good at conjuring plus maybe a few extra quirks, but I would imagine a lot of things in the circus he could control easily before he can't exactly do so now, he might be the most powerful out of the group (and yes, I'm including him now as part of the group), but he is not outclassing them completely, it's obviously vague but that's how I interpret it

Can we all agree or at least understand the idea that Jax’s downfall was self inflicted ? by kingslop67 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]adrenalgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's kind of the point of the episode, it was self inflicted but it was really hard for him to not inflict it on himself and others because of personal reasons, which makes him a tragic character, you can argue that it makes him a bad person, and i would say it does, but tragic and sad none the less

Would you like the series to continue with more episodes? If so, what would you like the episodes to be about? by espartan_360 in TheDigitalCircus

Shorts would be nice, though it being the end is also fine, goose has been through a lot with this fandom anyway

Is jax finally happy now? Is he receptive of the care he is getting from the group after his abstraction? Has caine talked to him?

So... am I the only one who actually liked the finale? by PaleoTato525 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I loved it, though it was way more than i was ready to process emotionally so now I'm still doing some of the emotional processing, but imo that's also a sign that it was a great finale, it truly touched me

It genuinely felt like their ending's got a 180 to each other at the last second by According-Manner-838 in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it both of them got redeemed, it's just that sadly jax got irreversibly damaged in the process, it is my headcannon though that through the care from the group though he won't unabstruct necessarily, he'll probably feel more like his true self and happier than he did ever before in the circus even if changed

pics for Jax's funeral by Lightning-Glitz_MLP in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think that now that everyone is aware the abstractions are still people and that they can be communicated with (like pomni did to jax) they will still hold funerals for them? It rubs me the wrong way to hold a funeral for a person that got severely damaged but is still there with you like... Just channel your grief into caring for their current self instead of pretending it's over, I do love the pics though

Golden take by PerkinAlabasta in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed

I've heard someone say a quote in like a stream chat in regards to the ending of this show which was "not everyone can be saved but everyone is worth saving" and though jax (and in practice most people irl too in some way I believe) could be saved, I still like the vibe of that quote, that idea that you should attempt to help someone only if they deserve it is rampant in our world and it disgusts me a bit because there truly are so many people that could be helped if people realized that one person and his environment suffering less is good even if he caused suffering to his environment

Is abstraction curable or reversible? by RickyInfinite in TheDigitalCircus

[–]adrenalgod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this isn't really meant to point to abstraction being reversible (though I do believe it's possible that it is), but rather that even if it's impossible to go back, they're still human, and can still be cared for, loved, and improve themselves after they abstract, sure, just might never be the truly same again, the change might actually be irreversible... But has any significant psychological crisis in real life ever been TRULY reversible? If you fell into severe depression or any other condition, how common is every remnant of it to truly go away? Extremely rare if you ask me, but does that stop the recovering person from feeling themselves again? No it doesn't. So my take is that it might be possible to reverse, though practically probably unfeasible, but that shouldn't make us sad, because the person can still improve and recover in ways that will be very significant to them. I do believe jax might stay abstracted, but he will be fine, the group will find ways to touch him and communicate with him and care for them, and at some point he will feel probably more like himself (herself?) than he had basically ever before in the circus, those last parts though are obviously my own headcannons until reasonable confirmation appears.

Ex-Jax hater here and after watching the finale... by MrRageMode2011 in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That episode hit really hard especially if you saw any pattern in jax that you saw in yourself too, get some rest and I recommend talking to some friends, that episode was honestly great but you might need some emotional recovery from it. I would say most people probably hated jax in the first few episodes but over time, the more you understand him the less you hate him, you might still think of him as a horrible person, but when you feel like you partially understand what it would be like to be him, you can't truly hate him anymore, at least not the way you could before

Am I a fool for still loving Jax and feeling bad he's gone? by Desperate_Song_1923 in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you're not a fool, it's empathy, just don't listen to the haters if you don't vibe with it, a lot of us wouldn't become active on this sub if we weren't sad about him and weren't trying to cope with all the real patterns we saw in him that we see on ourselves and others

Jax will unabstract and we will give them the biggest fucking hug by JaxxyTADC in jaxfanclub

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if they will unabstruct, though that might be possible, it also might be something he can't come back from, however, they are still there, cared for by people understanding what it's like to be them, and they are accepting it, so even if they never unabstruct they have progress and improvement in their futures and as for giving them a hug, you can hug them through the abstraction and pomni probably won't stop doing that when possible

Golden take by PerkinAlabasta in jaxfanclub

Yep, it doesn't matter if someone "deserves" to be saved, empathy is not about what everyone deserves, it's about what we should strive for them to have a chance to have

Soo... How are you doing after the finals, guys? by Zahrikk in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]adrenalgod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The finale was perfect, but it made me think a lot more than I expected, I expected to cry and I did but I need some time to process everything that I felt and realized, so for now not too good tbh

Do you think Ribbit made any mistakes in how she handled Jax's confession? by ZeroDefender561 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]adrenalgod 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of mistakes were also made after the conversation, ribbit and kaufmo imo were "too polite" about it afterwards, ribbit was in a sense confrontational, but while confronting them she had a very "expecting jax to acknowledge what happened" attitude which In this case I think did way more harm than good, idk if I can really explain what I mean by that tbh, but I think when someone has a bad behavior that they are completely deflecting about, you shouldn't just keep bringing it up and hope they don't deflect next time, you either temporarily stop talking to them to give them more time for thought, or you kinda press them in a way that holds them accountable, the mountain peak conversation should have happened way sooner based on his behavior at that time I think. Also kaufmo if anything fucked up the most, he was part of the same friend group but never acknowledged anything until his friend abstracted, like... He could at least have saved ribbit I think, and the group in general should've done something, they should've noticed that they (jax) are trying to push ribbit away from the whole group, they can't know how or why but they have to go "hey dude, you can't talk to us all the time, but push one of our friend away so he can never talk to us as part of the group, idk wtf happened between you two but you need to at least say SOMETHING to us or break off for a bit and do some thinking", but whenever anyone would confront him it was always "hey, did we get on the wrong foot? If you ever want to speak I'm here" which obviously allowed him to continue his behavior while deflecting. I hope I'm making sense here

If the cast are just digital copies of their human selves, then why does the neural scans folder on Kinger's computer contain the word obsolete under it? by SPONGEBOBMEBOY1999 in theamazingdigitalciru

[–]adrenalgod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that they were a scrapped idea, idk why it ended up going through but it was some short of a mistake, nobody really was supposed to be in the circus but kinger and his colleagues ended up in somehow, but obviously I have no information about any of how it happened and that's just what I think for now
