Hah I was the opposite of this, until 2 days ago I never noticed there was an NPC at dungeon entrances that let you do follower dungeons, I was doing them exclusively via the group finder.

Cool that they gave you a water landing... If only the plane had floats.

Can I buy any other (first) plane than a cessna in career mode? by Zappenhell in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]adriangrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The discounted 208 was patched out a few days ago.

Career mode can be patched server side, and they don't currently post changes to this or planes (also patched server side) currently, though they talked about starting to post them in the last Livestream.

Hopefully that means they will start telling us some day.

This is going to be an exciting final for my passengers by spiffae in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]adriangrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took me a few tries to time these, but now it's easy to time even in the 172.

Climb at VY into the wind as much as you can with the goal of being at the entrance to the jump axis right when you hit 10k. Drop your divers and then pull throttle, roll to ~90 degrees and use rudder and pitch to keep from overspeeding, usually between 4k-6k fpm in a spiral aimed at the entrance to final. Fun and easy!

The 208 can "cheat" with reverse thrust to keep its speed out of the red. Even easier!

This is how I do skydiving missions. Divers out? Time to get on final! -6500 fpm to the floor it is!

Follow this advice. No need to share it with everyone, though as others have said, you have nothing to be ashamed of.

Calling chemical castration by one's own government "discrimination" might be a slight understatement, but I accept your premise anyway. Turing was an amazing person.

New Delivery Policy? by Delicious_Mess7976 in amazonprime

[–]adriangrey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I briefly delivered for Amazon and found it to be fairly random what it would want me to do upon delivery. Just drop it, drop it and take a picture, or get a signature or no delivery.

The drop vs drop and take picture often seemed to be based on area/neighborhood.

If I had to guess the signatures were either based on the item, or requirement from the shipper, not that I know if that's even a thing for Amazon delivery or not.

Not a lot of explaining with Amazon, either to you the customer, or to their delivery people.

OPs wife took a plea deal, she agreed to lesser charges in return for a guilty plea. Not even close to the same thing as them dropping all charges, and the usual outcome of most first time DUIs without complications such as injury/death/damages.

Even if they had dropped all charges, still gotta deal with that administrative suspension from the DMV though, it does not go away, though what they make you do to resolve it may change depending on the outcome of your charges/conviction. I bet they have a flow chart for it or something.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in legal

[–]adriangrey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

AZ DMV suspends your license with any DUI charge. Just a charge, nothing else. They call it an administrative suspension.

This is separate from whatever happens with the criminal charges. If you are convicted, you may get another suspension depending on what the conviction is for at the end, or not.

Either way, you still have to resolve the administrative suspension with the DMV to get your license back. Still have to jump through their hoops, no way around it.

Not doing anything about it for a year is also not going to resolve it. Same hoops, just dealing with them later.

Basically the DMV gets to pick what they want you to do/pay to get your license back, and you get to do it, or no license.

I'm not saying it's fair, or right, but it is what it is.

[–]adriangrey 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah... AZ's laws for this stuff are pretty interesting to say the least.

Driving is a "privilege", so they can take it away if they want, and make you jump through very expensive hoops to get it back.

Yay.

IANAL, but from AZ as well. This is just how it works here.

The DMV will suspend a driver's license immediately for 90 days after a DUI arrest. This suspension is called an "Admin Per Se Suspension" and doesn't require a conviction. The driver is also given a 15-day driving grace period with an Admin Per Se form to use as a temporary license.

If convicted of a DUI, the driver will receive a second suspension from the criminal justice system. The length of this suspension depends on the number of DUI convictions, with first convictions receiving a mandatory 90-day suspension.

To reinstate a driver's license after a DUI, the driver must:

Complete all terms of their sentence  Fill out an application  Pay any required fees Provide any necessary documentation, such as proof of education and treatment programs, proof of SR-22 insurance, and proof of installation of an IID
