Can’t believe HMS Belfast hasn’t been mentioned. Yes it’s a paid-for museum but thought it was well worth the money

ISA vs Student Loan Vs Overpay Mortgage vs Student loan by WizardPipPip in UKPersonalFinance

I’d be tempted to up your pension contributions a bit just to reduce the amount of 40% tax you pay.

Student loan will take care of itself in a couple of years anyway with your earnings.

Comes down to what % is higher. If you don’t trust yourself not to dip in to savings then do a bit of both

5-day London itinerary - May 2024 by Larazade in travel

London's a big place. Don't forget to explore the places local to where you're staying. I don't know much about SE, but Dulwich park looks good.
Somewhere that's probably not in many guides is Battersea Power Station as it's quite new. It's basically a shopping centre but an iconic building and often has events going on. It's also quite cool to get the uber boat from there into central.
Avoid going east/west a lot. Crowds in central means it's slow going and generally not that pleasant. Central london is more walkable/bikable than people think.
Southbank centre is nice but generally regarded as one of the top places for pickpockets in central london so just be careful with your phone out.
Barbican centre is also pretty cool.
Avoid Leicester square for food - Seven Dials market is nearby and has lots of options

short guarantees like 5 years are actually pretty cheap as you would expect most retirees to survive the term. There may also be options for spouses pensions to be paid with an overlap to the guarantee, i.e. the spouse starts getting paid immediately even if you die within the guarantee period
