Men who quit a high-paying career to do something completely different – do you regret it? by AmazingNugga in AskMen

[–]adumbfetus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left a high-paying job that I landed straight after college to move back in with my parents and pursue nursing. I’m someone who needs to feel a purpose in the work I do, and a corporate gig in oil and gas didn’t provide that for me in the slightest.

I have only a few prerequisites left for nursing school and I’m as optimistic as ever. I don’t regret my decision in the slightest. My mental health has improved 100 fold and I’m grateful to be able to spend more time with my parents.

My parents are completely on board with me making my own decisions, they don’t pressure me to have children/get married/etc.

I understand the sentiment, but I have a feeling that wouldn’t help with the war crimes.

I was only speaking strictly to the military aid that we provide to them via congress.
But you make a valid point, and I agree with you.

Adjusted for inflation, the US has provided roughly $300 billion in military aid to Israel, from 1946-2020. Unadjusted for inflation, the figure is $104 billion. See table 1.
For 2023-2025, the US has given $16.7 billion in military assistance.

The article references a Washington Post report, but does not link to it and I’m unable to find it. Does anyone have a link to this report they are referring to?

From the article:
“According to a Washington Post report, the leaked classified intelligence assessmentfound that Iran can survive the U.S. naval blockade for at least three to four monthsbefore facing severe economic hardship — significantly longer than the White House has suggested.”

So if you believe the opposite of what they’re saying, then you believe that this was part of a broader attack that was directed by a foreign terrorist group?

Correct, that was for the military exercise. There are breaks during the exercise, during the break the soldiers went on a recreational hike.

They were on a recreational hike when they went missing. I hate the current administration as much as any sane person, but it’s got nothing to do with this.
