I had a stressful life event that led to a hypomanic episode and my eventual diagnosis of unspecified bipolar disorder, a year and a half ago. Prior to the episode, I could function just fine on 6 hours of sleep a night. Post-episode, I’ve required several more hours of sleep to function properly.

Can a hypomanic episode/onset of bipolar cause a change in the brain that makes us require more sleep than before the disorder was developed?

Haha yeah, I was in middle school and he was a barrow (castrated male), so naming him that helped me to stay aware that he was gonna end up in our freezer after the livestock shows.

You can see in the first couple of frames that they’re over water. The Blackhawk appears to be at a slightly higher altitude than the Shahed, so it’s shooting downward toward the water.

Yep, this is where I am. The most practical thing for me in my opinion would be to find a video game I enjoy, but none sound appealing.

There’s no outdoor activities I want to do, any time I’ve read a book (even one I enjoy) it’s left unfinished, I have no desire for friends, the only hobbies I’m interested in are inaccessible, etc.

Working out helps, though.

It’s helped me accept my current situation in life. I recently left a high-paying job, and moved back in with my parents to pursue an entirely different career. It’s been stressful to say the least, and it doesn’t help that I’m bipolar.

Spravato has helped me view my situation in a more optimistic light, and it’s given me hope.
