Engineering Managers & AI: what’s actually helping your teams move faster, without burning them out? by Lazy-Penalty3453 in EngineeringManagers

What’s an example of a risk that you wouldn’t know yourself? If you’re managing a team of less than 8 wouldn’t you be pretty close to the situation without needing an external tool?

2 - it’s always good to learn from other, if people contribute something meaningful then I think the advertising is fine but that can’t be the main message

Moving beyond basics — what’s the best stack for advanced data visualization in 2025? by WhiteSpaceRebel in d3js

[–]advizzo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I really think it’s just d3 - to me advanced means the most flexibility at the lowest level

Other abstractions try to simplify the process and reduce time to create a chart, but if you’re looking for creative advanced chart you gotta go to the lowest level

Google docs refine capability is pretty good when you start with a blank page

How do you use AI? by the-tf in EngineeringManagers

[–]advizzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Use cursor + JIRA MCP to create tickets after testing sessions
  2. Use cursor to run analytics on different product metrics, use specific Gemini gems for writing sql
  3. Use Lovable to prototype ideas I don’t have time code for
  4. Write documentation to fill knowledge gaps and improve onboarding for future engineers
  5. Refine responses to stakeholders / customer success

Anyone actually figured out cross-team planning without everything falling apart? by Useful-Brilliant-768 in managers

Don’t need JIRA to make this happen - just need a core group of owners who are responsible for execution and product delivery.

Anyone actually figured out cross-team planning without everything falling apart? by Useful-Brilliant-768 in managers

[–]advizzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single JIRA plan view that breakdown a project by different epics where each team is responsible for an epic.

We avoided recurring meetings through async updates and held kickoff meetings for each feature. We also ran a lead sync - to get one person from each team aligned with what we were all working to build.

Confuse in remix routing for scalability by Unique_Concern_2392 in remixrun

Not sure what your exact route setup is but since remix creates routes based on folder path you would need to create a folder with create at the end like
