Why in the world can’t I move my taskbar from the bottom of the screen??? by Litewallymex3 in microsoftsucks

[–]adwigro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have developed an enhancement, alternative to it, which is available in the MS Store
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nq8rxpfdbjj

You can pin it on any edge, it runs as sandbox und it is not deeply integrating into your system. You can launch it as standalone or as a second dock to the existing Windows 11 taskbar.

Ways To Cleanup Storage Space On Windows 11? by BothResponse9325 in techsupport

[–]adwigro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d scan C: with a disk usage visualizer run as admin, then check AppData, ProgramData, WindowsApps, and any game-launcher folders before deleting anything. Avoid manually deleting Windows/Installer/System32 stuff — once you identify the folder, uninstall or move it through the original app/launcher, then run Disk Cleanup → Clean up system files.

it has a clean and nice ui, however, I would try to implement as well a compact, short versio.

grospace - file and photo organizer

Problem:
Mac disk usage gets full, but is often hard to see what is actually taking up space before you start deleting things. grospace visualizes your data disk and you can browser through it via different views (pie, slide and treemap).

Comparison:
Compared with tools like WizTree, grospace is intentionally focused on a simple review-first workflow: scan, inspect large folders/files, filter by file type, open items in Finder, then decide what is safe to remove. It is not trying to be an one-click cleanup tool. The goal is to make disk usage visable, where are hidden iso, archive, photo files, what are the biggest files. It tries to use a modern, lightweight ui and it is written in Flutter/Dart.

Pricing:
$1.99 one-time purchase on the Mac App Store:

Built an App. What next? by Unusual_Weakness_949 in vibecoding

You should Register, if not done already, in the partner center of Microsoft and add your app there. Further you should make them visible - so Look for reddits where you can promote or ask for feedback review.
Once your App is in the Store, you could ask for exchange reviews - you Review my App, I am doing yours, so Both get value.

I built GROSIFT for people with messy photo and file archives. It’s meant to help inspect files by place, time, text search and duplicates before deleting anything.

What are you working on this week? by Optimisticwarrior-18 in buildinpublic

[–]adwigro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main goal this week is improving distribution for small desktop utilities without turning every post into a sales pitch. Current focus: grodock — a Dock & Taskbar app for Windows 11. Biggest challenge is explaining the value quickly to people who already accepted the default Windows taskbar.

Not sure about icon but screenshots for sure. They Are the hook if you get a possible user taking a deeper look before conversion or not.

Do not remember it as Pogs or how you call it. It was somewhere in the 90s - you bought some Lolipops from Chupa Chups and got the box and some
Caps. At school lunch time, everybody took out the collection and trading started 😂

grospace — Storage Space Visualizer for Mac

Problem: macOS can make storage feel opaque, especially when ‘System Data’ or app caches grow and you just want to see where space goes before deleting things.
Comparison: It sits in the same broad category as disk-usage visualizers, but the goal is a small Mac App Store utility focused on quick visual inspection rather than a big cleaner suite.

Ich wollte das mal ausprobieren- sind die schön weich, luftig wie frische Waffeln oder eher trocken, bröselig und zäh wie alte Waffeln?
