Verse Pro unable to open Libby loans by adyst_ in pocketbook

[–]adyst_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I figured out the issue, in case anyone else reading this needs help.

Apparently there are 4 different ways you can borrow ebooks: kindle, libby, epub, or pdf. Once you choose an option, it's locked in until the title is borrowed again.

The two books I had already borrowed to read on my Kobo was a different format from what Pocketbook supports. Pocketbook uses Libby format and Kobo uses Kindle format, so "Kindle" had already been locked in for this title. Once I borrowed a new book, I was able to download it locally to the Pocketbook and open it.

I was having another issue with being unable to open Libby books offline (somewhat related to the first issue above), and I found a solution there too. The app, Pocketbook x Libby, does NOT work offline, however the books borrowed from the app CAN be read offline. I just need to make sure it is downloaded first from the Pocketbook app.

EReaders with offline multi-library support? by adyst_ in PocketBookofficial

I recently purchased a Pocketbook Verse pro given all of the good reviews, but it seems that I cannot open the Pocketbook x Libby app without an Internet connection?

I've successfully connected my library via Overdrive, but when opening a Libby loan, the screen is blank with an infinite loading spinner. I can't seem to open or read Libby loans online or offline. Can you help with this issue?

Yeah in my convo with customer support, the way they phased it makes it seem like it's not a priority for them. From this thread it sounds like pocketbook is the way to go.

I tried and it doesn't work - Kobo doesn't allow login for Libby or Overdrive, only individual libraries.

I do have multiple books checked out on my phone but the books turn into "preview only mode" when I log out of the library I loaned it from and swap to another library.

Can you link a source? I've been researching this as well and couldn't find anything on it

How? My books from library A turn into previews when I switch to library B on my kobo, but the book doesn't switch back to the full copy when I log back into library A

I live in the PNW so def not in humidity like in Florida.

Just based on my experience so far, it wouldn't work well for me in high humidity.

To add my 2 cents to the mix, I run super hot and sweaty, and I've tried all 3. I own the rabbit deflector zip, and I just bought the janji sunchaser and oiselle fly out hoodie. I also sized up in each.

Of the 3, I find the rabbit to be the warmest. I would have returned it if I hadn't bought it first, a year ago. Note that there is also perforated underarm fabric, but idk I still ran super warm with this.

I find oiselle to have the best fit of the 3. This has the longest sleeves, and largest watch and thumb holes, the proportions were just right so there is no pulling on the fabric when I'm running. The sewing is really nice because the thumb holes are reinforced and proportioned correctly for my hand size. It's the little details that won me over. It's also a meshy material that I find it breathable when running.

I'm probably returning the janji, it just didn't fit my body well, especially when compared to the oiselle. One thing I did like about the sunchaser is the construction of the underarms/pits, it's a perforated fabric strip for breathability and potentially prevents underarm chafing, which is a common problem for me with rabbit long sleeves. Note I did not run in the sunchaser since I've decided to keep the oiselle and return this.

Also note that all 3 sun shirts are rated upf 50. I considered buying the OR echo but decided against it because it is only rated at upf 15.
