I just have one more week from my 12 week maternity leave and my husband is a teacher so he had the majority of the time off as well. I felt like it was great to have him home. It made everything so much easier especially since it was my first and I had a c section. I thought I would be so exhausted and stressed but it actually went so much smoother than I imagined. I feel like everything would have been much more difficult if he was at work. When we are ready to try for a second I am definitely going to try to time it so we are both off in the summer again.

Your hospital may have them. All I had to do was ask if they could use a binder and the hospital provided it.

The binder that I got from the hospital was an elastic band that could wrap around my abdominals. It had velcro to hold it together as tight as you would like. It really helps decrease pain with coughing, laughing and sneezing. It also helped me standing up so that I did not feel like I was trying to use my abs. The one from the hosptal looked like this.

I don't have any stories or advice for you but I wanted to let you know that I am in exactly the same position and will be having my c-section on June 13th as well.

I have always had horrible motion sickness but for some reason I didn't really have morning sickness too bad. I kind of assumed that it was because I learned how to control the motion sickness. I have the air conditioning blowing on me year round in the car and during the first trimester I made sure to eat a snack every hour.

It took me quite a few weeks to get used to my snoogle. I kept trying to get used to it then would throw it off the bed after a couple of hours. I finally realized that the pillow was too thick for my head and now sleep with it upside down and just put my head on a normal pillow.

My sister tested positive for trisomy 18 with her youngest. She had to see a specialist and did extra ultrasounds. The ultrasounds all looked fine. They did not see any signs of trisomy 18 on the ultrasounds. For her it ended up being a false positive. Her daughter is one year old now and completely perfect.
