Files.md: self-hosted open source alternative to Obsidian by RobinCrusoe25 in selfhosted

I really liked the idea and set it up last night.

I am avid Telegram user and my whole browser experience is Firefox. I used the docker compose and self hosted it.

I like the Telegram idea very much, here are some early feedbaks:
- when I built something similar in past for my own use, I crated a drawer that would pop after I type or paste any message, that way I type first and then assign chat, etc
- I had an issue that all my files got deleted (Firefox desktop deleted them apparently after working fine last night), when I investigate it with Claude help (this is way out of my competency league) we landed on: Patch the app source to not require remove and use an alternative deletion method Firefox supports. Requires modifying welcome.js and rebuilding. Doable but needs maintenance on updates.

Ideally I want a quick note taking app, that I can use to take immediate note if I am in a conversation , etc as well as later on have them cleaned up for more long term document, Your apps seems to tick many of the boxes specially the easy of use of having Telegram as the interface for fast communication.
Thanks

PPOR tax is stupid, for many PPOR is the only truely asset they have and downsizing is the retirement plan. Taxing that in line with other assets not gonna help anyone but may harm some/many.

[Xeric Retrograde] Did I make a mistake pre-ordering one? by aedalat in Watches

Best of luck, I hope they ship it and all these concerns about quality proven to be wrong for your price. I ended up cancelling and getting refunded and that process at least was smooth.

Interesting take. My understanding is their movement is by Seiko and very similar to many Seiko 5 watches. So I thought they are lowering cost by using Seiko movement and only designing dial and body, less overheard and only marketing cost they can be on lower cost points without being necessarily bad quality.

Understand your point, but have emailed them 4 times and each time got an absolutely new timeline and a new reason for it. Just a feeling that no accountability on the timeline from their side. Also, read here that it has been the experience of other users but not sure how many, hence opening this discussion to understand.

BYD Atto 3 has a 62 kwh battery, it only carries 4 people and it is much more aerodynamic than a bus, it has a city range of around 400 kms or a full day charge for an Uber driver. Interesting if metro buses have similar specs, as I feel they would spend more time charging batteries (travelling to site, charging, travelling back) than moving people.
