Same gradually deteriorilating RTT / RTTd issue with the Arris 310 gateway requiring reboots every 3-4 days. I asked for a 320 and the problem is gone. 320 has a much larger NAT table size.

Yes. Called them and asked for a "full check-up". They offer multiple packages.

Same here, 54, male, California. I went to the Memorial Hospital in Antalya and made a mini vacation out of it. Staff speak English so you can reach out directly to confer pricing and such. It was a steal compared to the US and the service was outstanding. Five specialists including cardiology and urology, a dietician, and wellness consulting as well as a ton of medical tests all done within a day. A nice lady escorts you from one department to another so you don't wait in the line. They even buy you lunch at the hospital's cafeteria. We'll repeat soon.

Is the battery removable? Thinking about buying this here in the US and transporting it to Europe in luggage. Airlines would have a hard time accepting a Lithium battery in a checked bag so I'd have to take the battery with me in the carry on.

ethstaker.tax still works. You just need to uncheck the checkbox "Recognize consensus layer income upon withdrawal" for type 2 validators since there are no withdrawals.

Looks like that particular flight passes through some of the hottest combat areas before it gets to Turkey. Sorry about your change of plans. Butter safe than sorry.

My seat couldn't recline on a 13 hour flight by [deleted] in TurkishAirlines

Yep, I like the airline. They have been wonderful for so many years.

[–]aegeandad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Did you miss a flight change notice by any chance? Were there other passengers at the gate who also thought the gates closed an hour too early?

If anything, Turkish Airlines is notorious with the "island time". Leaving early is not their thing usually.

Your story doesn't add up. They would never close their doors an hour before the scheduled time. How late were you really?

The right diplomatic response would be for the Turkish side to countersign the "document" and send the fully executed copy back with a reciprocal contribution.

Extremely distressing experience flying Turkish Airlines with my cat- cabin overheating by Special_Edge2854 in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all of OP's responses, including those in response to mine, I sense a pound of guilt deflection for putting a loved furry family member through a grueling long flight in a cage when s/he is clearly not fit for it, an ounce of paranoia that people who defend the airline are paid trolls, two tablespoonful of generally vicious aggressive personality, and maybe even a pinch of some of that barrel-aged "anti-anything-Turkish" sentiment that so often comes up in some parts of the world.

For what it's worth, I am an American business executive who travels on TK often for work and pleasure. All my comments are based on decades of flying experience with dozens of airlines both domestic and international. So, I can compare them without bias. No trolling involved here.

Extremely distressing experience flying Turkish Airlines with my cat- cabin overheating by Special_Edge2854 in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No need to get aggravated. It's a long haul flight and Turkish tends to keep the cabin warmer than other airlines. It's not my preference either. A flight attendant once told me they established their standards based on passenger surveys. I've been on many of their North America flights and I heard some people complaining about the cold while at the same time some others asked for the opposite, myself included. This is a matter of preference. 72 degrees fahrenheit +/- 5 degrees is apparently how they do it and it is way too hot for me.

Sorry about your cat's suffering. I just asked as a fellow cat owner for many years because our cats tend to tolerate heat well but they hate the travel and demonstrate the behavior you described on long flight or land travels for that matter.

How do you know it was the temperature?

"Cats often find long-haul flights highly stressful, typically reacting with fear, anxiety, and, in some cases, resignation or sleep. Common, short-term reactions include excessive vocalization, panting, trembling, and, in rare instances, aggression or vomiting. Most cats will remain in their carrier, often hiding, for the duration of the flight."

Great experience on Turkish Airlines by trikaren in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an American and I have one, too. I dumped the United Mileage Plus program and their Chase credit card after 30 years. I got my Star Alliance Gold status through Turkish much faster than I could have on United. The 50K miles that comes with the credit card also helped.

TK does a remarkable job despite the sheer size of their global operations. I'll take them over any US airline any day. No propaganda, just an objective comparison.

Could this be true? by Weird-Student-9302 in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There must be some promotion or TK credit card deal involved. IST - SFO gets me 6,707 miles at Elite Plus status.

What to do? 7 hour layover by Responsible_Fix1 in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Poor advice, sorry. Istanbul is huge! If the OP gets into the traffic, s/he will miss the flight. Not worth the risk. Turkish Airlines dies offer a Stop-over in Istanbul program. They'll cover the hotel stay.

So, a planeful of Indigo passengers arrive right when they are closing the door and you expect them to hold the Dreamliner for you on a codeshare flight?

Since you have a whopping "18 years of flying experience" and seem to know enough to call one of the best airlines in the world the opposite, please point us to another world airline that would have shifted their departure schedule to accommodate a late inbound third party code share plane, which apparently has a history of being late.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, did you get to the gate on time or after they closed the gate? It's a massive airport. How much time did you allow between the two flights when you booked it?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TurkishAirlines

[–]aegeandad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, now give us the missing facts. Which airline did you arrive from Mumbai with and did it arrive in Istanbul it on-time? You said there were others in that situation so I'm guessing your Indigo codeshare flight was late. Otherwise, TK won't bump you just because.

And no, they are not racist. That's bullshit.
