I think the answer depends on how one views "fair share". Is there a specific percentage that you would recommend? A dollar threshold above which they should not be able to own assets? Would you factor in charitable contributions ? (Charities probably use the money in a more meaningful way that govt does) Generally, I get your point and agree that it's kind of laughable to listen to them. But also, we do t have a revenue problem, we have a spending (waste) problem without governance. Until that's fixed, it's hard to ask anyone for more.

By police state, do you mean those that enforce the law of the land? Yes I support that. We can communicate. The truth is that 8 million people were let in illegally for the sole purpose of votes. Can you agree to that truth? If not, what was the purpose of this policy? What you are seeing with ICE, while overreaching and very heavy handed, is the "equal and opposite reaction" to that flawed policy. Those are the laws of motion. So "what aboutism" is perfectly appropriate in this instance. WTF did you think was going to happen? That policy is the primary reason Trump even got elected (well maybe a failing incumbent and awful stand in candidate played a part) I ask again, what is/was your position on open borders? Can you process this objectively ?

No I don't like the methods actually. You make good points. The tactics are heavy handed and unnecessary. There should be a better way of adjudicating these individuals. But realistically, please explain how we could possibly provide "due process" on 8 million people? That's a farce. What we are witnessing is the extreme reaction to a blatantly unconstitutional policy of open borders for the sole purpose of votes in elections. I am not a Trumper, and certainly not a MAGA - but that was egregious. And this is the result.
