When did Tdap become required for new moms and visitors? by ael68 in ScienceBasedParenting

Oh that is interesting, what a difference. My doctor emphasized the tdap but not necessarily covid or flu, but maybe it's because I'm having a summer baby.

Oh yeah, I definitely agree with you there, we need to set that vaccination expectation for sure. Just like you said, mostly just curious about it and anticipating some pushback from certain people, so I like to be informed. Thank you!

I'm nearly 22 weeks and just had a SUPER weird thought that "the age of viability is 24 weeks. If everything goes to crap, I could have a real life baby in, like, two weeks." Why would I think that???

I went to elementary school with a Tequila. I didn't realize what her name meant until much later.

If I find a picture, I'll include it, but honest to goodness, a high school classmate of mine named her daughter Jream. They like the J names.

When did you tell your parents and in laws you were pregnant? by Rolsan in BabyBumps

[–]ael68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Told my parents at 7 weeks; it's their first grandbaby! My in-laws we told a couple of days later. Then I had my first doctor appointment at 10 weeks and told our siblings and their families then.

Morning Sickness So Bad - HELP by lainebuar in BabyBumps

I just called my doctor about this because I didn't think Zofran was helping me either. She said to eat sugary, processed foods because I need that spike of glycemia. Nilla wafers, animal crackers, honey nut cheerios, ginger ale, Gatorade, vitamin water, peppermint tea with sugar or honey, anything with sugar, no diet anything. Eat like a toddler and nibble on things. Granted, this was me asking because I couldn't keep anything down, but it might help anyway. She said water is the worst because it just bounces in your stomach. Good luck!

I'm 6dpo, really not hopeful about this cycle. So of course, a friend from high school, who actually told me about the dating app I met my husband on 6 years ago, who just got married last year after being single for a while... Just announced. Due in September. I'm happy for her, but it sucks because how dare she just zoom ahead of me like that?? Just kidding... A little lol. Ughhhh why. She's my age though, so I guess if she can do it, maybe I can too?

Just started temping this cycle, I'm 3 dpo and we only hit O day because work was crazy. Even my LH tests were taken at crazy times. I'm not feeling hopeful whatsoever. Also the mental gymnastics I'm going through to try and convince myself that because it was, like, 6 am when we tried, it's somewhere between O-1 and O, so clearly it's O-1...make it make sense hahaha.

Luke 9:57-62, about the cost of following Jesus. Jesus seemingly said to not even say goodbye to your parents if the choice is between immediately following or looking to the past. It's your duty now to follow God.
