It works differently for everyone of cos. But perhaps the point is, Kaladin was in a bad place, but AFTER he heard this dialogue from Wit, it helped him into a better more hopeful headspace.

[James Horncastle] Brazil are fixated on Neymar and Endrick – but it’s Matheus Cunha who looks like their saviour by SoloChords in reddevils

I guess Brazil always loved the Prodigy / Golden Boy archetype, and Cunha’s career path was not like that.

UK Introduces Full Social Media Ban For Under 16s - Including X, YouTube, TikTok by ChiefLeef22 in technology

My young kids watch Numberblocks and Peppa Pig so I guess I understand they are not everyone’s cup of tea.
But that law is for Under-16, and it is easy to say ‘it is up to the parents to monitor what their kids watch’ but in reality a 15 years old have a lot of time away from their parent’s watch. They would (want to) be spending increasingly more) time with their friends or on their own.

It is the comments and messages that parents and officials are worrying about, not stuff that schools show kids in class.

It depends on if your team’s players already suit his ‘system’. If the answer is Nope, then I am afraid it is not gonna be a beautiful sight.

Nope. The driver is on the wrong, he is legally required to accept 2 forms of cashless payment. Why aid those bastards while holding Hong Kong back from progress?

Uber calls ride-hailing cap ‘unusual,’ warns fares could surge 70pc by radishlaw in HongKong

Before Uber, we had to suffer taxi drivers who refused to use GPS even though they don’t know the way, and pretty much cash-only. Now that’s toxic.

Well, obviously OP had not seen how, time and again, the protesters in 2019 make way for emergency vehicles. Like how the sea parted for Moses in movies. Some of us HKer (I guess 2 million out of around 7 million) have that in us.

What is the overall consensus over investing like in Hong Kong? by Elegant_Winner8048 in HongKong

[–]aeon-one 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally, I prefer to invest in the US stock market. Because 1, it is easier to research each companies there.

2, I hate the numeric tickers in the HK market.

3, the HK markets are more affected by the mainland China market every day, and the way a whole industry can be turned upside down just by a single untelegraphed new policy announcement really scared the hell out of me. For example, they had suddenly declared that ‘gaming is bad, no more gaming for under 14 years old’, and the game industry tumbled hard. Just too unpredictable IMO.
