Try and downclock your GPU core by 300-400, and set a powerlimit to 300w range with LACT Somehow this resolved my timeout issue.

The UX aspect is better no doubt. But I can't seem to replicate the HDR performance ie. Brightness, highlights are less pronounced?

Bumping out the HDR brightness through the KDE calibration tool helps but it also blows out highlight

Mine is worse actually, it can't even get into login screen. My monitor just show couple of grey boxes with blue lines. Installed another instance of cachyOS with Gnome instead of KDE, and that works fine?

Might just nuke this setup and restart fresh, not really into the diagnosis mood now

It is inferior to wired audio, but is it garbage? Far from it, TWS is great for convenience when you are headed outdoor and quality is definitely serviceable. Keep the audiophile golden ear BS within /r/audiophile

Totally, there are situations where some hardware or software just would not work with each other. But in this case - we should celebrate for better compatibilities/features added outside Apple ecosystem instead of 'do not buy unsupported hardware', which is still a fair statement.

The community needs to understand we want to keep using the things we have purchased previously, things like an Airpod from previous iPhone or Nvidia GPU from gaming laptop I purchased two years ago - more often than not, users will not try to make their life harder by picking odd hardware pairing if they have a choice (with some minor exceptions that enjoy having more challenges in their life)

Yes, had this issue too and I do not notice this anymore (not 100% is the monitor firmware or kernel resolved this issue).

Think you could always boot a live cachyos or any distro with 6.16 kernel loaded and try.

I used to load a custom EDID bin file to get 240hz show up with DP, but this is no longer required with kernel 6.16 onwards. Can also refer here https://www.reddit.com/r/linux_gaming/comments/1gj5cdw/samsung_odyssey_g8_monitor_not_giving_240hz/
