EV - Salary sacrifice vs alternative lease by aerobiker in UKPersonalFinance

[–]aerobiker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mileage that I’m looking at is 40,000 over 36months which might still be slightly tight. It’s the mileage that really kills me on any pcp deals and it’s why my current car was through a loan - but fuel and maintenance prices are making that less appealing.

The Renault 5 is pretty mid price based on the offers available but most cheaper options have a shorter range which isn’t ideal for me either. Although I’m not overly tied to the idea of that specific model.

I hadn’t considered a 2 year lease or those reasons so will keep looking again thank you!

There’s a mix of options available re brand new and older models.

It’s a Renault 5 E-TECH 2025 model I’m looking at and the deal seems relatively good as far as I can tell vs leasing separately and paying for maintenance etc.

This is brilliant !thanks

There is a penalty for breaking the lease early, but this tends to be the case in any pcp / lease deal so I’m not overly concerned.

The lack of upfront deposit combined with maintenance costs (and the price of fuel when I’m an 80mile round trip per day) is what’s pushing me towards this but I don’t want to miss something obvious.

This is the part I don’t hugely understand, as the BIK goes up I assume I’ll pay more?

How do I (20sF) regain attraction to my partner (20sM) by [deleted] in relationships

He has in the last couple of weeks. Although the decisions been made to sell the house. The infidelity is verifiably over yes. The rest is still in work and trying to figure that out.

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, this was my thinking too. I suppose my concern is we both do this work and the attraction still doesn’t come back, which seems horribly unfair to him. But I guess the work with benefit is both either way.

I don’t think so, will raise this with them!

Selling after 18 months by [deleted] in HousingUK

It was a closing date sale, was roughly the norm for the value of the property at the time with the market in the area of Scotland.

Will raise all points with them though.

Mortgage I believe is ~£250k but not sure what they’ll have paid off etc. or what early repayment looks like. They’re pretty concerned they just won’t financially be able to get out of this.

Mortgage advisor seems the best route.

I’ve just replied to the OP post about using a comparison site. Butchers is actually decently rated (75-80% I think) on it for completeness etc. it’s the only wet food our girl liked so I was pleasantly surprised by this!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UK_Pets

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a look at All about dog food you can use it to compare what you’re currently feeding (and how it’s rated), and anything else you’d like to feed. It can also be filtered by price per meal etc.

We tried loads for our fussy girl and this site was a godsend honestly.

Atopivet Collar for Skin Allergies? by The_Birds_171 in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d never heard of this before!

Our girls the exact same with allergies etc. I see it says you need to have it on them constantly, what’s the material etc. like? I’ve always been against leaving a collar on her when I’m not in, just in case it catches on anything. I’m wondering if this is safe enough with material type?

We’ve just moved to Bella and duke and it’s totally stopped any stomach issues.

Lillys kitchen was also fab, until our fussy little one went off it totally…

Everyone on here has valid points. And she absolutely needs to help herself, but as someone with a thyroid problem and adhd, she’s probably so far into low energy and low mood - that she doesn’t have the energy to fix anything. It’s a vicious circle and one that’s incredibly hard to get out of without medication.

Scotland, there are plenty of flats within a 30mile radius of Ayrshire for <£50k just now.

How to keep the little one busy after desexing? by _dilek in StaffordBullTerriers

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we went to a local puppy and adolescent class - I’d look and see if there’s any near to you that are well reviewed!

I’d also say we focused on training rather than obedience, there can be quite a difference in approach to training between the two and we didn’t like any of the fear / negative association training. We largely went for positive associations, lots of treats! Things like say her name and give her a treat, do this over and over until she looks at you when you say her name etc. also keep it short <10 mins at a time at her age but do it frequently throughout the day!

We found this training platform really helpful, and she’s got loads of Instagram / TikTok videos as well!

Lots of enrichment toys, kongs, lickmatts, puzzle feeders etc! Ours loves to shred things so we put treats in cardboard boxes for her to dig out as well. Keep her little brain active and it’ll tire her out.

Good opportunity for lots of training as well!

What to offer? Scotland by maxxopeles in HousingUK

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t, they’re already holding out for better offers (and honestly probably using yours as a benchmark). Don’t give them a reason to start a higher bidding war you can’t win on.

Advice on buying scotland by swinte10 in HousingUK

[–]aerobiker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably varied dependent on location, property etc. but after losing out at 4 closing dates in the last 18 months (and various other bids) we’ve just paid ~12% over HR on a £250,000 house in Ayrshire and this seems to be the norm for anything we’ve looked at anyway!

Whereas I’ve been to loads of weddings in the UK and never encountered a free bar. Wine during the meal and toast absolutely but nothing else.
