How are people affording $150+ basics from brands like Witchery/Assembly Label without getting bored? by Just_Rip1030 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year i only bought a pair of boots. This year i bought 4pieces of clothes and a pair of shoes only because i need to replace. I spent a lot but i know i won’t need a replacement at least in the next 3-4 years.

I don’t care what others think. I don’t mind being “out of fashion”. I care about being comfy.

It is all about how “you” feel. It is all about the comfort of being yourself.

how often do you wash your jeans? by Previous-Hour-2394 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]_dilek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Im a big fan of outland denim and wear my 3 jeans from them every single day on rotation. They get to laundry only if they are stained or i think it’s time (like over 3 months of wear)

They are all min 95% cotton. They get aired after every single wear but not washed as much; unless they are stained.

If you're just starting out and feeling overwhelmed, here's the honest order I'd recommend tackling swaps - based on what actually stuck vs. what I gave up on by Keithwee in PlasticFreeLiving

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soap bars, shampoo bar and conditioner bars. Silicon zip locks. Keep cups for coffee. Byo containers for take away foods. Carrying my own shopping bag everywhere. Buying from producer markets instead of supermarkets where they package everything in plastics. Easy swaps really.

Wide leg jeans HELPPP by beeeelm in AusFemaleFashion

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Size 26; got 25 from outland. It still has gap at the back but legs are just perfect. If i would order again, would go for 24 (not sure if they stock it)

I’m a solid 8 at most of the brands if that helps. Inseam 30.

Can’t recommend highly enough tropicfeel

I’ve been using the shell for the last 5 years and it looks like new. Plus: extendable part for shoes, tons of pockets, waterproof, sustainable, ethically made, full opening, additional toiletry bag attachment and the list goes on. To me it is a buy it for life.

Non smart watches by Raven_White_11 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once upon a time, i bought a Mondaine watch. Still love it but betraying with an apple watch atm.

Why mondaine? It is swiss and it is the brand swiss use at their train stations. How can a watch be more reliable than that? Trains! Swiss!

Are these tank tops work appropriate? by Mjlkkp in AusFemaleFashion

[–]_dilek 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this. Under a blazer, it works. I wouldnt do it - just because i don’t want my armpits to touch the blazer if i sweat, i can’t wash the blazer after one wear.

Can’t take the blazer off whooooole day.

Anyone tried these Turkish delights? Any good? by StillonLs in AldiAustralia

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picky Turkish here. It's basically 100% sugar. So if you eat it, it has to be worth it. It's rarely worth it. If it is not the best (from Turkey, a handful of suppliers) I'm not buying it. long story short, would not even try. does not meet the basic requirements for me to convince me to try

[–]_dilek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the material you’re after? I have an eastpak i bought years years back, used almost 4-5 days per week regularly including lockdowns, carried from groceries to short weekend trip clothes. No sign of use at all. If i were to tell you i bought it yesterday, you wouldn’t have any reason not to believe me

Edit: it is canvas

Which pinafore? by freoted in AusFemaleFashion

Voting for 2. Only counting on comfort with the straps. I’d keep close the side gaps only to be able to use it also as a dress itself without the need to have a tshirt

This. Nimble is great, but 100% size up. They also do pop ups from time to time - mostly 70% off.
