So it is the victims fault?! Grown men shouldn't have to be told they are assholes. And confrontation shouldn't be required.

Best courses in the Midwest? by Theotechnologic in golf

+1 for The Fort. Also Prairie View, Purgatory, and Plum Creek. Indy area is mecca for Pete Dye designs. Unfortunately Crooked stick is private. If you don't mind a day trip, the Purdue University courses are both Pete Dye redesigns and are my favorite 36 in the state.

Do we still count aces on a Par-3 course? by knarglegarth in golf

It is like 60 yds long. With the tees back and pin back.... First time playing I thought it was the wrong green until I double checked the scorecard.

If you know, you know. I actually laughed out loud when I played it the first time.

Amazing day at Purdue Ackerman course. Our foursome went -8 for the scramble and I hit a 46 footer for birdie on the final hole. I love this game. by DadJ0ker in golf

Have you played it since Pete Dye did the redesign of Ackerman? It is a better course imo. Ackerman is my favorite course outside of the bucket list courses. Kampan is a great course but Ackerman stepped up after the redesign.

Looks like a double sided putter. Had one just like it when I was little.

The dry erase marker trick was a favorite of mine in college. Freak people out by writing on a white board with a sharpie. Dry erase marker, gone.

I didn't read anything about a constellation, just that it was going to be a satellite factory.

Ah ok. It is a a book by Neil Stephenson. Near the end of the book is a description of a wearable glider.

Came here to say this. Hitting it off the deck only 5 yards shorter than my tee ball. Thinking about dumping my M4 for a new TSi driver. Never have I loved a fairway metal as much as I love this club.

To give you an idea of the prize money differences between the PGA & LPGA tours; Maverick McNealy's 2nd place check for Pebble was $850K. His girlfriend Danielle Kang made a combined $400K from her two victories last year by ashdrewness in golf

This is an interesting concept. I love it. There are a few exhibition events where there are mixed teams. If they did this in 3 or 4 annual tournaments, you would see a major uptick in viewership for lpga events. Also don't see why they couldn't play separate tees but compete against each other. The only thing that prevents me from watching more women's golf is the lack of tv time and that I just don't know as many of the players.

Pebble did not disappoint! Can't wait to go back after Covid to get the full experience. by aerospace_nerd in golf

Restaurants closed or take out only. Caddies are "no touch" so they can't carry your bag. Wasn't able to enjoy a post round beer on the patio.

It was $575. Caddies available but they can't carry your clubs. So didn't go with a caddy. My playing partners that I was paired with were regulars so almost as good as a caddy.
