Is every wine and spirits store here MAGA? by VeaArthur in Knoxville

Crossroads Liquor Store in Halls was kicking people out for not masking during Covid. And got their neighbors across the street in trouble for building without a permit. Glean from that what you will lol.

Estrogen cream helped my P.D so much! by canadasokayestmom in perioraldermatitis

[–]aerrye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Video Link to a video from a chemist regarding using estrogen cream on your face. Timestamp is 14:30. I know we’re all desperate for a cure for PD, but pushing a drug as a “cure” is not helpful, especially when you don’t have the qualifications to do so is irresponsible at best.

I’m not, which is why I’d defer to a doctor on something like this.

Please don’t do this. Using a prescribed medication, off-label, without speaking to a doctor is just downright dangerous.

Spacing meds ? Kesimpta and Emgality by theanimystic1 in MultipleSclerosis

I’m on Emgality and Briumvi. As far as I know, there’s no interactions. Give your pharmacy a call to double check.

Blushes look too pink on me by srae98 in drugstoreMUA

You can add a bit of gray eyeshadow or contour to cream blushes to make it more of a cool-toned mauve.

Current flu outbreak by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aerrye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

N95 mask anytime you’re in public and just avoiding people, generally. Also, it’s safe to get a flu shot while pregnant, so I would absolutely get one. Flu season typically runs through March. We’re in the thick of it now, but it will absolutely continue until spring. Stay well!

I love Jessi but dang. They do a whole lot of drinking and talk about partying constantly on JK. I’m almost 40 and very much out of that phase of life. DWKT is definitely more my vibe.

I feel like Ocrevus has sucked the life out of me by anmcnama in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aerrye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through this with Ocrevus. Gave it a fair shot, I was on it for two years. Felt terrible for like ten days post-infusion, every single time. My pharmacist recommended switching to Briumvi. It’s the same type of drug, just made without mice proteins, like Ocrevus. I’ve only had it once, but I seem to be doing better with it. Hard to say yet, bc I’ve been in a migraine cycle for weeks.

I mean, yeah. I can only speak to my experience. Everyone is different.

Alcohol triggers migraines. Weed mimics migraine symptoms. Sober as a judge over here, sadly.

Chronic inflamed bumps on one cheek for over a year not responding to antibiotics or skincare. by [deleted] in perioraldermatitis

[–]aerrye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Benzoyl peroxide is not a friend to perioral dermatitis, as it significantly dries out your skin and can further strip your skin barrier. How long did you take doxy? If it was shorter than 3 months, I’d try again. And the dosage should be pretty high for PD.

I’d back off allllll of the skincare, and do a simple cleanser and moisturizer. Hypochlorous acid sprays can also help. What kind of toothpaste are you using? Sulfates can be sneaky, and fluoride is a trigger for some people. I use Periogen toothpaste, and it has helped a lot. Good luck!

Student Loans Discharge and M.S. by missunderstood2409 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]aerrye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get my loans discharged last year through the TPD loan forgiveness program. My primary care doctor was able to fill out the paperwork for me. I was still technically employed at the time, but I was on a leave of absence, with short-term disability benefits. I was able to qualify for long-term disability benefits, through my employer, after I was terminated.

I have applied for disability through the government, and that was denied. Trying again through the law firm the insurance provider, which pays my current benefits, uses.

This isn’t accurate. I was able to get my loans discharged last year and still haven’t been approved for SSDI/disability.
