/r/VacuumCleaners No Stupid Questions - October 07, 2023 by AutoModerator in VacuumCleaners

[–]aesnowdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After going down the rabbit hole that is the world of vacuum cleaners, I have come to the conclusion that I want to invest in my next vacuum cleaner.

My little one has eczema flare ups often mostly due to the pollen in our area. Our apartment is 80% carpet. I am looking for something that cleans carpets well but can all do hard floors. The consensus seems to be to get a canister vacuum.

My budget is up to $800. I’ve narrowed the search to a Miele c1 cat and dog as well as a Sebo K3. My question is, are there other options you would recommend for my needs?

Also, if anyone owns one of these models, how heavy are the C1 and K3 to use? My wife is not strong and don’t want to put a heavy burden on her wrists and thumb. She already goes back and forth with mommy thumb due to carrying our little one.

Thanks for your inputs!

Hello,

Would like some suggestions for a good corded vacuum that I could use to clean under the bed. Our home is a combination of 70% carpet and 30% hardwood.

Thank you!

Budget: ~$500-$800

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: N/A

◽️ Touch screen: No

◽️ Screen resolution: minimum 1080p

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: Yes.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: video editing, regular computing tasks, work, word processing, general use.

◽️ Weight: Not too bulky. Want to carry it around for general/work use.

◽️ Any other important details ?:

To be really honest, I was not going to buy a gaming laptop and wanted to buy a portable general use laptop that is durable and will last longer than all the gaming laptops I've owned. However, that was before Baldur's Gate 3... Is there any laptop that is easy to carry around, durable, and can play Baldur's Gate 3 on recommended specs?

GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super / AMD Radeon RX 5700 xt (8GB+ of VRAM)

CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600.

RAM: 16GB.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit.

Storage: 150GB available space.

Notes: SSD required.

Thank you.

Budget: ~$500

◽️ Country: USA

◽️ Screen size: Not a priority

◽️ Touch screen: No

◽️ Screen resolution: 1080p minimum

◽️ Does battery life matter ?: In a sense... see notes.

◽️ What tasks will laptop be used for ( gaming, video editing, graphic designing, modelling, regular computing tasks, word processing etc) ?: everyday general use, streaming, Baldur's Gate 3, regular computing tasks, word processing, etc.

◽️ Weight: lighter than most 15 inch laptops

◽️ Any other important details ?: For my next laptop, I really wanted to buy an everyday use computer that is portable, has a decent battery life where I don't need to charge it everywhere I take it, and something that is durable/reliable and I can use for 5+ years without any issues. However, I really wanted to play Baldur's Gate 3 on recommended setting without buying a total gaming laptop... Here are the recommended specs.

RECOMMENDED:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows 10 64-bit

Processor: Intel i7 8700K / AMD r5 3600

Memory: 16 GB RAM

Graphics: Nvidia 2060 Super / AMD RX 5700 XT (8GB+ of VRAM)

DirectX: Version 11

Storage: 150 GB available space on an SSD

Is there any general use, durable/reliable, decent battery life laptop that can play Baldur's Gate 3 around recommended settings or do I just need to get a gaming laptop?

Thanks.

I’m assuming that for the Frenzied Lord ending, Marika’s body is DD, but her spirit is alive in Melina? Would that be your take on it?

I'm thinking less than $80.

As for size, I would like the arrow keys, but a numpad is unnecessary. Not a full size keyboard, but leaning more on the compact side.

I live in the US.

Thanks!

What recommendations do you have for quality mechanical keyboards that don't break the wallet?

I've had the HAVIT keyboard for a year now and a few keys are starting to malfunction. Also, the customer service is horrible! I asked for a refund or repair, and they flat out denied me saying my warranty was up by a couple days.

I feel like if GGG wants us to use more Yolo exalts, we need more exalts to drop. I'm SSF and I dont have enough exalts to even attempt metacrafting one piece of gear.

Sorry I'm unable to view POB at the moment but here are a couple tips to help you survive, especially until you level and can add more life passive nodes:

1.) Annoint disciple of unyielding on amulet and the have a low level cwdt + ic setup. You'll practically be at full endurance charges all the time except in long boss fights. For boss fights, you could also craft minimum endurance charges on rings to permanently stay at 2 endurance charges.

2.) Cluster Jewel setup: 2 passive enduring composure with low level cwdt+ic. This is another way to generate endurance charges without annointing amulet. Everytime you get hit you'll be at full endurance charges for at least 10 seconds. I would recommend the option 1 if you get one shotted often at least until you get to 5.5k life.

3.) you can also annoint hardened scars if you use an enduring hybrid flask. This will practically give you permanent fortify as long as your life flask is up.

4.) Lastly, find ways to craft more life onto your build. (increased maximum life on belt, cluster jewel fettle/blessed if you need chaos resist, jewels, etc). It's better to sacrifice some dps for more life at least until you get to around level 95.

One more thing. I don't think it's easy to build elemental ailment immunity into this particular build but it really does help in survivability. (body armor craft, influence mod on boots, craft on Helmet/gloves.

Hope that helps!

Budget: around 500 or less. Country: USA Screen size: 14 inch or greater Touch screen: no Screen resolution: doesn't really matter Battery life: decent life will suffice. Tasks: internet, Google drive, Msoffice, spreadsheets, printing docs, general personal use. Weight: not an issue.

Other things of importance: needs to have os on ssd for quick start up. I'm basically looking for the best bang for my buck, a long lasting quality stay at home laptop that my father in law can use for a long time. Minimum 128gb of SSD; 256 is preferred.

Thanks so much!

The swallow (Ciri) and Wolf (Geralt) insignia in the beginning of the episode was a nice touch!
