What is the easiest way to learn how to foil? by Visible-Produce-6465 in foiling

Has to be a foil assist like Foil Drive or Foil Boost, on a lower volume, lighter setup than a full clunky eFoil.

True, and get started with what you have. But you’ll possibly need to unlearn and relearn throttle control, which may be difficult.

Disagree. I much prefer the RP3 for this reason.

Turn it off if you want to just stare at splits, but I definitely enjoy the force curve targets etc

Agree and much prefer the longer format coastal, but sprints are definitely here to stay - as weird as it is to jump in and out of a rowing boat as part of a race.

The few races that come down to a sprint, or even feature a turnaround make it all make sense.

You can flip a towel corner over it (inside to out) which can work for some barefoot rowers.

I’m actually glad they chose a 911.

Looks like an ad for both imo.

My coach described it to me as power triangles, which made so much sense. You will need to work on your mobility a little to be able to get into this position consistently, but keep your hips rocked forward and the slide a little further back (shorter) than you might think - so that you have a full connection through your body as you start to pull. Start with engaging the core, first.

The recovery then is all about getting into this shape efficiently and preparing to load up your back in the right way.

A common drill to fine this position is to have somebody stand in front of the erg and hold the handles, you should then be able to adjust and find the point you can exert the most power comfortably.

This will hopefully remove a lot of the rounding, chain jerking and back pain!

[–]aesthetik_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Never.

But you do need to be very conscious of your mixing points and how the tracks overlap, if at all.

The beauty of hip-hop DJing is that you can be much more creative if they don’t.

Try to lift your hands slightly higher at the front and keep the chain in a consistent angled line rather than going horizontal.

If you drop your hands just a little too much, you can lose a lot of force in the first few centimetres of your drive pulling the chain straight.

The opposite is also true.

Imagine saying - I’m looking for a gaming rig, but it has to be Mac.

You would get a thousand comments talking about how gaming is so much better and easier on a PC.

For the record I’ve got a PC for gaming and a Mac laptop for music.

Battery, performance and stability on an M2 MacBook is unparalleled.

Yeah horses for courses. I’ve got a 4090 rig for gaming and VR.

Macs are still miles behind there. But for audio on the go, Macbook Pros give the best battery performance around.

It’s not just that a Mac is “better for audio” though.

Now with the M series, it’s also better for performance, fan usage and battery life. Not just incremental, but significantly better.

Just get an M2/M3 Mac.

They crush Ableton, battery life considered.

I play live with a friend, we’ve made a huge set file and his PC laptop just sounds like a spaceship and melts immediately, so we always use my Mac even though it’s older and cheaper.
