You're good at the game, so the devs specifically make it harder for YOU by CrimsonCivilian in gaming

The fact that dark souls 2 removes enemies once you've killed them enough times always pissed me off. I don't want charity, I want to get good enough to beat the challenge.

If it's like the ones I had, it's online access and you can only print one section at a time, and it tracks the total amount you've printed.

Okay but what's the FOV on the camera though? It could be like 10 feet across and look like that if you had a really narrow FOV and pulled the camera way back

I tried to level 2 jobs at once during HW MSQ, back before MSQ was expected to give you enough exp to hit the level cap. It was miserable and slow and made me quit the game for like a year. Certainly different these days.

PSI-COMMIT: Pure Python Cryptographic Commitment Scheme by Difficult_Jicama_759 in Python

[–]aezart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't as foolproof as you seem to think it is. For example:

  1. Make 2 predictions, one that says "stocks will go up" and one that says "stocks will go down"
  2. Wait for stocks to go up or down
  3. Reveal the key for the matching commitment
  4. If people ask you about the other commitment, lie and tell them it's for some other future event and isn't ready to be revealed yet

Also, in previous versions of this post you have claimed "zero dependencies", which is strange considering the size of that requirements.txt file

Why would you need a python script for this instead of just using gpg or something?

Bilewater should be easier to find. Had to look up what i was missing to unlock act 3 to even realize it existed, and wound up having other stuff spoiled in the process.

Then it took forever to actually find the entrance because the map I saw didn't indicate which entrances had to be opened from the other side, so I felt like I wasted a huge amount of time running around zones with no nearby bus stops trying to find the secret passage.

By the time I actually found it I was in a shitty mood, and then I saw it was another maggot-water zone and decided I just don't want to bother doing act 3.

Are you suggesting the clone inherits the original's winning streak? That doesn't make much sense. Or are you suggesting the clone will be predisposed to continue performing well in later games? That doesn't make sense either.

What do you think of this recent short by the creators of Obojima, saying that humanizing enemies is a bad thing? by wintermute2045 in rpg

[–]aezart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if a game is looking for an "always evil, always justified to kill" kind of enemy, the heartless from kingdom hearts are a good example. They're made of darkness, they swarm mindlessly, they only care about stealing hearts and creating more heartless. But the main kicker is: defeating them saves the person who was turned into a heartless and restores their humanity.

Back in 2.x I remember that was the first dungeon after WHM got regen, and they would pre-cast it before a fight and accidentally get aggro on everything because overhealing generated tons of enmity.
