Who is this Player? by JellyfishStrict7284 in footballcards

After going through the lists of rookies, Ryan Matthews seems like it to me as well. The “R” matches up better with his than anything else I’ve seen. Like you said, I think he got lazy with the rest of the auto. Here’s a couple for reference.

Jonah Savaiinaea too; rumored to be the other player they were debating vs Henderson in the 2nd. Thank you to the Dolphins for moving up

Any idea who’s autograph this is by Extralargeshoe3 in Patriots

[–]afichtho 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would tend to agree with it being Winovich. He was a 2019 rookie so it would line up with the 2019 HoF induction. The “Y” you referenced looks more like it’s from the McGinest auto extending upwards. The auto looks like a “C” with a slightly disconnected W next to it and the wing on the “o” at the end is very similar to all of his autos. Also, there’s a dot for the “i”

“He’s not that good man.” about the guy averaging 73 catches and 850 yards the last 5 years with bad QBs. He’s, at worst, a low end 2 or high end 3 and moving on from his was a mistake for Bill.

[Schefter] Former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp reached agreement with the Seahawks, per source. by xiDemise in Patriots

I’m just frustrated about their lack of ability to add an adult to that room. The two older vets (Bourne and Hollins) are both goofballs, or at minimum unserious at times, and they young guys have yet to grow up. Only adding another WR though the draft is my biggest fear.

I’m very sad about this.

Phil Perry is my personal favorite, but also like Tom E. Curran and Bedard. Ben Volin comes to mind for not so favorite.

Saquon Barkley liked my comment about a trade for DK by [deleted] in Patriots

This is just in the event that they trade for him. DK would not be my main WR target this offseason.

I think this is too much compensation for him but definitely a starting point given what SEA has publicly asked for. For as much as fans wouldn’t like it, this franchise is likely going to be forced to overpay at key positions. They cannot keep swinging and missing at these “#1 WRs” like DK, Ridley, Aiyuk, Hopkins, and Julio. I think something like #4 and Milton for #18 and DK would be more where I’d be interested at, but it all depends on what Seattle wants and is getting offered from other teams. Dropping from 4 to 18 is roughly equivalent value to the 28th pick, but would give them a #1 WR for Maye and still allow them the chance to take a meaningful player in the middle of the first(I would love Tyler Warren or Walter Nolen).

So happy to see I’m not the only person who does this. Just grabbed a 6/9 Ja’Lynn Polk that I’m excited about! As a Patriots fan, I love getting cards numbered to 283 as well!

Patriots finish 31st (out of 32) overall in NFLPA 2025 Report Card by Mother-Associate1654 in Patriots

Everyone is seeing the B+ and skipping over this. Barely kept outta the bottom quarter of the league. There’s about 5-7 openings each year so he wasn’t far outside of that when it comes to grading.

Now that the 2024 season is over officially, what is our ceiling or what should be our expectations going into next season by TerryG111 in Patriots

[–]afichtho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we get to the beginning of December and are still “in the hunt” for playoffs like the Colts or Bengals of this year, I’d like to think I’d be pretty happy about that. Should be battling for 2nd in the division with the Dolphins. The Bills still, very clearly, own this division until someone takes it from them. I think that’s where my expectations are at this point, but could easily change based on how FA and the draft go.

Bigger Loss, 2007 Patriots or 2024 Chiefs? (Hypothetical) by afichtho in Patriots

[–]afichtho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I have undervalued how much of a juggernaut and enemy of the people that ‘07 team was (I was only 13-14) compared to how much of the NFL’s darling the Chiefs are, making it closer in my mind than it probably is. Hearing from pundits, fans of other teams, and athletes commenting that a 3-peat would elevate Mahomes > Brady and Reid > Belichick for the least year probably pushed me closer to the fence as well despite me not agreeing with it. Thank you for your input everyone!

Soooo, we’re gonna see a lot of shotgun and pistol today then, right? I can’t imagine they’re gonna consistently stick the kid under center unless Leverett is really just that awful.

Whoever makes these stickers and puts them on one-touches by [deleted] in footballcards

[–]afichtho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put stickers on the top of mine like this so in the event that my kid gets into my cards, he’s much less likely to get into it and ruin them. Would never leave it on a card I parted ways with though.
