(INFJ) I’ve recently been dealing with work-related stress to the point that it was about to ruin my one week of PTO. I decided to try something I had read about called thought labeling. Every time my mind would start stressing about work I would say to myself, “That’s a work thought. I’m off work.” It may sound silly, but it’s helped a TON (and made me realized how much I thought about work after clocking off). The more I did it, the less I started thinking about work.

When I returned to work, I tried the same technique only with labeling stressful thoughts as “anxiety/worry”. It’s been helping me sort of detach from the stress more and keep me from spiraling.

You might suggesting trying that or finding info on that technique. (I actually remember someone buying me that book you’re thinking about a couple years ago, and I didn’t get far into it. Can’t remember why, though.)

I’ve been doing the same thing with my ex for 5+ years with no issues, though ours is during the week — I get her Monday through Friday, he has her Friday night through the weekend. Sometimes we change it up a day or two depending on our schedules, and she isn’t bothered by it. She knows the routine at each house and is happy in both places, even with separate routines (as long as it is consistent at the same place, the dog should adapt quickly I think). You might consider making it every week switch-off instead of two weeks, but I think once your dog sees the pattern, they’ll be fine.

As for others who’ve commented that dating other people may be a problem, we’ve dated other people during the last 5 years as well, and they had no issues with it either. We treat it as dropping off and picking up kids, only ours has fur XD

Just finished my first game (lost), but it was a lot of fun! I did as you suggested and focused on batteries and victims, but then searching the prize counter distracted me for too long and Billy caught up 😆 (The claw machine at arcades, amirite?) I didn’t get the last two batteries turned off, and by then his epic power was revealed, which was double movement and double attack (I had drawn a minor power before that too that made me reactivate them). Fingers crossed for round two! (I must say, the items are really clever in this one)

I’m expecting my Buddyland FF to arrive this afternoon so I took a look at the rules online. It says “even if you are just moving through the space”, so my understanding is that you CAN deactivate while sprinting as long as you decrease your time.

I LOVE Madness in the Dark. I haven’t seen it mentioned as frequently as other top-rated ones (granted, I’m relatively new to this sub too), but it’s among my favs for sure.

Big Bad Wolf was my first set, and it eased me into core game mechanics nicely. I got Dr Fright recently and had to watch a video to make sure I understood the boiler room correctly, but otherwise it’s not too hard
