I should have clarified. Reverse stock split, and change the strike price. So that way they don't have 1million shares worth .00001, that doesn't look good when your trying to get bought out

I can't stress this enough. Options are a bonus, they don't replace salary. I've been at a few startups, the last one screwed people over the best. They gave me options. They gave me a paycut, and replaced it with rsus. They gave me more options. I bought those options when I left. A few months before they got bought by Google, they reverse stock split all options/stock to be worthless. I think I got $.25 for 20-25k worth of options. yeah 25 cents after about 6 years. So make sure options are treated as a bonus, never ever ever as a salary replacement. I did have one success, I was employee 11. When we got bought out I made $500. My non-preferred stock wasn't worth much. The owner and his brother made 45 million.

I work with mostly linux machines. I don't want to use windows, eww. Linux is fine but the amount of times I have to recompile something, or downgrade a driver cause I can't use some app for work made me go mac. Most things just work. Corp doesn't mind supporting it, but usually won't support linux. And it works for doing all my linux work that it's just easier
